Chapter 300 Marriage Alliance is the Best
A sudden sharpness flashed through Gabriel's eye, but he quickly regained his composure.
Just then, the Clark family's butler walked in. "Ms. Clark, why is Mr. Kensington here too?"
The butler looked surprised, but Gabriel's expression stayed as calm as ever.
Natalie, on the other hand, looked pale and a bit angry, though she tried to hide it. The butler knew their relationship was complicated, so he was extra careful.
Noticing the suit draped over Natalie, the butler quickly handed her a shawl he had prepared. "Ms. Clark, Mr. Clark is anxiously waiting at home."
Natalie took a deep breath, pushed Gabriel away, and stepped back. She yanked off his coat, tossed it at him, and took the shawl from the butler, putting it on.
She shot Gabriel a cold look, said nothing, and walked away without looking back.
Gabriel's expression changed quickly. After pretending to be a gentleman all night, he finally showed his true colors. He had the nerve to threaten her, saying if he couldn't get to her, he'd go after Felix. That was just plain robbery!
The butler hurried to catch up with Natalie. Gabriel watched her leave, the anger in his eyes slowly fading as he furrowed his brows. He wondered if he had scared her just now.
Calmly, Gabriel took out his phone and called his assistant, Brad. "Shut down Felix's studio and tell him to report to the subsidiary in the neighboring city tomorrow."
"Yes, Mr. Kensington."
Natalie returned to the Clark Villa, looking upset. Victor had come back early and was discussing matters with Ulysses in the study. Yves was trying to give Starshadow a bath, but the little dog was resisting.
Seeing Natalie return, Yves was surprised. "You're back early."
Victor and Ulysses came down upon hearing the commotion. Victor smiled gently. "Did you have fun?"
Most of Natalie's bad mood faded as she looked at them. "Dad, Victor, you should prepare a generous gift for the Kensington family to thank them for saving my life, or they'll think we're ungrateful."
Otherwise, Gabriel would keep using this as an excuse to coerce her. It would be so annoying!
Victor raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Dad and I were just discussing this. When I contacted Gabriel recently, he kept declining, implying that money couldn't solve the issue."
He paused, giving Natalie a knowing smile.
Natalie gritted her teeth. If it weren't for Kyle, would Gabriel have had the intelligence and opportunity to find her? "So what does he want?"
Yves chimed in casually, "A marriage alliance would be best. Why would Gabriel look far when he has someone close? Compared to you, those expensive gifts are worthless. The most valuable asset in the Clark family is you."
Natalie understood the deeper meaning in Yves' words, her expression stiffening. Wasn't Gabriel's behavior at the movie tonight obvious enough? He even suggested remarrying, his words full of regret and reluctance. But to her, it was all so ridiculous and disheartening.
Whether he was sincere or not, it didn't matter. Did he want to exchange his life-saving grace for her affection? Natalie felt a thorn in her heart, extremely uncomfortable!
Seeing her pale face, Ulysses glared at Yves. "Don't worry; the Clark family isn't at the point of needing a marriage alliance. If he doesn't want money, we have nothing else to give. We'll just drag it out. I won't marry Natalie off to him again. A marriage alliance? Let him dream on!"
Yves sheepishly stuck out his tongue and immediately expressed his stance. "I'm on your side. Natalie can choose anyone but him. Gabriel is already on our family's blacklist, and we will never forgive him!"
Fed up, Natalie stood up and coldly snorted. "Don't think you can use this to threaten me. I won't compromise."
Ulysses, Victor, and Yves repeatedly nodded.
