Chapter 295 Respect

Felix took a step back, still too chicken to stand his ground.

Next thing he knew, Felix was lifted off the ground and slammed against the wall. His scalp tingled, and his back screamed in pain.

Sure, he was an adventurer and in better shape than most, but up against Gabriel, he was totally helpless!

Gabriel stomped all over his pride!

Gabriel's eyes were icy, no hint of family love there. He moved fast and hit hard. "Felix, if you wanna die, just say the word. I'll make it happen."

Brad jumped in quickly. "Mr. Kensington, let's chill for a sec. He was just kidding. No way Ms. Clark would be into him."

Felix felt crushed, a mix of fear and defiance swirling inside him. But thinking of Natalie gave him some guts.

"Why wouldn't she be into me? The guys Natalie dated after her divorce were all my type!"

Yeah, the dudes rumored to be with her were nothing like Gabriel, the big-shot businessman.

So, Felix felt pretty confident.

Gabriel laughed, but it was more like a growl, his eyes cold and menacing.

"Felix, I'm telling you, stay away from her, or I'll find you a wife myself."

His tone was dripping with disdain.

It wasn't even a threat, just a heads-up.

Felix's face fell.

Guys like them, if they weren't as successful as Gabriel in running their lives and their family's, would be controlled by their family.

Gabriel let go, not even sparing him a glance, and walked off.

Before leaving, Brad made sure to grab the $20 million painting.

He shot Felix a sympathetic look.

Of all the women to chase, why go after Gabriel's? Asking for trouble much?

Natalie was enjoying her meal alone. A bunch of people came up, wanting to add her on Facebook. Natalie, recognizing some of them, couldn't say no and pulled out her QR code.

A line of guys and gals formed to add her. After all, getting Natalie's Facebook wasn't easy.

Gabriel walked by and overheard a guy excitedly saying, "I actually added Natalie on Facebook!"

"Me too, I didn't think she'd be so chill. And she's gorgeous," his friend replied.

"Wait, why hasn't she accepted my friend request?"

The guy's tone went from excited to bummed out.

Gabriel, who had been tense, relaxed and walked away, his face giving nothing away.

Natalie finally got a break when Felix came out, looking defeated.

"Natalie, let's bounce."

Natalie nodded, following him to the car, checking movie times on her phone.

Felix, still rattled by Gabriel, drove down the slope away from the restaurant. As the headlights of an oncoming car flashed, he lost control and crashed into the other car.

Felix cursed under his breath; just his luck!

Just as he was about to get out and argue, he saw Gabriel step out of the car, checking the damage, his cold eyes sweeping over them.

Felix froze, clearly freaked out.

Natalie glanced at him. Wasn't he just acting all tough inside?

"Are you scared of him?"

Felix gritted his teeth. "It's not fear; it's respect!"
