Chapter 95 I Want to Buy a Yacht
Hearing Natalie’s words, Alyssa frowned slightly. She didn’t expect that Natalie had a connection with Share.
She didn’t expect Natalie to be the founder of her favorite brand, Share.
She didn’t want to be kicked out by security, or she’d become a laughingstock on tomorrow’s headlines. She snorted, “What are you so proud of? I never want to come to this lousy place again.”
Angela gritted her teeth and dragged Alyssa away.
Downstairs, just as they reached the door, Alyssa stopped. “Wait.”
“What’s wrong?”
Angela didn’t want to leave in disgrace, but if they didn’t go, Natalie would have the security kick them out. Wouldn’t that be even more humiliating?
“I think I just saw Gabriel. Why don’t we wait for him?”
If Gabriel recognized Natalie, would they meet, and would their love rekindle?
She thought about how Gabriel’s attitude towards her had changed since she returned to the country and that they hadn’t been alone together. ‘Gabriel seemed to be avoiding me.’
No, Alyssa was a bit scared; She couldn’t give them that chance.
Angela nodded and spoke righteously, “Sure, I’ll tell him how Natalie bullied me.”
They sat in the lounge area by the door, where hardly anyone noticed them.
Natalie felt a bit better after driving them away, but Kelly was unsatisfied. “Why not just have security throw them out? Why care about their dignity?”
Mia glared at her. “If it escalated, the journalists will change the headline for tomorrow’s newspaper. Our career matters and not their being humiliated.”
Kelly said, “Oh.”
“Is that girl behind Angela Gabriel’s sweetheart?” Mia asked.
Natalie nodded nonchalantly. “What a coincidence, right?”
Mia snorted, “I thought at least the person he liked would be better looking, but didn’t expect...”
She thought, ‘Is Gabriel blind? How could she compare to Natalie?’
The party was about to end, and people were leaving one after another.
Gabriel originally planned to leave soon after arriving. After all, if it weren’t for Leo’s insistence, he wouldn’t have come with him. Seeing Natalie on the stage and hearing her say she had never worn a wedding dress, he felt a complex mix of emotions and didn’t leave immediately.
He had a few drinks but wasn’t the least bit drunk.
Having stayed for so long, even Leo was getting impatient. He saw no reason to stay any longer.
“Gabriel, are you in a bad mood because you saw Natalie?” Leo noticed Gabriel’s unease.
They didn’t expect to see Natalie there.
Leo didn’t want to either, but who knew Natalie had a connection with Share?
She was obscure, without a prominent family, yet she kept intruding into their lives, bringing many surprises.
Gabriel remained silent, and his eyes were deep and brooding. Leo didn’t rush him. After a while, Gabriel picked up his coat and said, “Let’s go.”
They walked to the door, seeing Yves and Natalie standing together, smiling as they said goodbye to Mia.
Gabriel paused, seemingly waiting on purpose.
Natalie took out her phone, found a picture, and handed it to Mia, “Do you like it?”
Mia looked up in surprise, and Natalie smiled. “To celebrate your successful show. I’ve decided to give you this gift.”
Looking at the photo, she thought it was too extravagant.
Yves smiled nonchalantly, “What can you give her? Your salary isn’t much; Save it to buy a bag. Whatever you want to buy, I’ll pay for it.”
Natalie excitedly tugged Yves’s arm, squinted her eyes, and looked up at him with a smile.
“I want to buy a yacht!”
Yves was speechless.
