Chapter 381 Never Let Him Go
Back at the Clark Villa, Natalie was utterly exhausted. Even though she had secured this major project, she couldn't feel happy about it.
Perhaps it was because the old memories were too painful, and she wasn't mentally prepared.
Late at night, as she lay in bed, she kept thinking about the contents of that photo.
Suddenly, her phone chimed with a message.
Annoyed, she picked it up and looked.
She frowned.
It was Gabriel.
[Natalie, I'm glad it was you I saved.]
Natalie blinked, looked at the night outside, went out to pour herself a glass of milk, drank it calmly and slowly, and then went back upstairs.
After all, the past won't come back. Why should she dwell on what she's already let go of?
She had a good night's sleep.
The news of the collaboration with Robert spread like wildfire in just one night.
Major corporations were all eager to show goodwill, hoping to collaborate with the Clark Group. Being part of this project was a big deal.
When Natalie opened her eyes, her phone was almost blowing up with calls. Luckily, she had it on silent.
Starshadow came in, "Mom, everyone is waiting for you."
Natalie replied to Kelly's message, then got ready and went downstairs.
"Victor?"
Victor stood in the living room with a stern expression, talking on the phone. When he saw her come down, he hung up immediately.
"You've got some nerve!"
Natalie was puzzled.
Ulysses, sitting at the dining table with a newspaper, smiled leisurely.
"How did you talk to Robert? His subordinates have already started contacting Victor. That was fast!"
Natalie sighed in relief and briefly explained what had happened yesterday.
Only Yves shook his head with a regretful look, "Robert's son Mike is already so big. Looks like you two have no chance!"
Ulysses scolded, "Get lost!"
Victor chimed in, "Agreed."
Natalie smiled, finished her breakfast, and went to the company with Victor.
As Natalie and Victor entered the early morning meeting, the previously noisy conference room fell silent.
Everyone looked at Natalie with curiosity.
She walked in confidently in her high heels, not glancing sideways, and took her seat.
The shareholders below had varied expressions.
Joe looked pale and anxious, sitting there nervously, occasionally glancing at Victor and Natalie, wanting to speak but holding back.
He had tried calling Ulysses early in the morning but couldn't get through.
Was he really going to be forced out of the Clark Group?
Victor chaired the meeting. As it began, each department briefly reported the latest updates, and the discussion eventually turned to Robert's project.
Victor pondered, his voice clear and cold.
"According to Robert's plan, the technical department's support must keep up. The subsequent series of tasks is all interconnected and cannot be taken lightly. However, specific adjustments will be made after the contract is signed. Does anyone have any other matters to discuss?"
Everyone shook their heads one by one, gradually falling silent.
Just when everyone thought the meeting was over, Victor changed the topic.
"Natalie, do you have anything?"
Being called out, Natalie chuckled, fully understanding Victor's intention, and looked at Joe with a charming gaze.
Since the ball was in her court, she couldn't just ignore it.
"Yes, I do. Mr. Nelson, do you remember the bet we made? Whoever loses leaves the Clark Group."
She was straightforward and didn't want to waste time.
