Chapter 395 Taking Care of You

This house has been opened up to connect the two floors, making it spacious and bright.

Both floors have elevators, so Gabriel's wheelchair doesn't hinder his mobility.

Natalie went upstairs and glanced at the room.

Indeed, everything was the same as when she left. Now that she thinks about it, it feels like all these experiences happened just yesterday.

But such memories made her feel oppressed, stifled, and unable to breathe.

It was as if a giant stone was pressing on her chest, unbearably heavy, pulling at her limbs and tearing at her heart and lungs!

She loved sitting on the balcony chair, looking outside, hoping Gabriel's car would suddenly appear at the door.

Gabriel had never appeared in this room, yet all she could remember was him.

How miserable she was!

She pulled the corners of her mouth indifferently, grabbed a trash bag, and swept everything on the table into the bag, then threw it away.

The walk-in closet was connected to her room. When she pushed the door open, it was completely new inside. The tags on the clothes hadn't even been removed, the shoes were all her size, and even the luxury brand jewelry was quietly placed in the jewelry cabinet.

She silently backed out, not taking another look.

There was a noise at the door.

She checked the time; it was 6:30 PM.

Time flies.

When she opened the door, she saw Julia standing timidly in front of the tall and fierce Elijah. Seeing her, Julia became even more frightened.

"Ms. Clark, Mr. Kensington said to invite you down for dinner."

Natalie nodded calmly, "Got it."

Julia quickly ran downstairs. Natalie took her phone and went down, her high heels making slight sounds on the stairs.

The floor-to-ceiling windows of the living room balcony were open, and a gentle breeze blew in, causing the white brocade curtains to ripple with dark patterns, looking as if they were tinged with a faint glow in the dusk, quite beautiful.

Natalie came down from upstairs, her eyes lowered, appearing much softer in the evening light.

Gabriel was sitting at a desk nearby, with a recently closed laptop and documents in front of him.

A thin blanket was draped over his legs, and he exuded a lean yet powerful presence, full of authority.

He raised an eyebrow and said, "Are you hungry?"

Julia mustered up the courage to speak from the kitchen.

"Ms. Clark, Mr. Kensington instructed that all your favorite dishes have been prepared."

Natalie smiled faintly, "I don't eat dinner. Please just prepare some food for my Elijah."

Of course, no one would refuse.

"Then keep me company and eat a little."

Gabriel hadn't eaten much all day in anticipation of this meal.

Natalie sat in the chair opposite him, picked up a nearby magazine, and flipped through it, extremely bored.

Gabriel wanted to talk to her, but suddenly noticed that Elijah, who had been silently following her, was still there.

Even though he was silent, he was impossible to ignore.

Elijah was tall and muscular, his expressionless eyes lowered, but it was clear he was constantly observing his surroundings.

His fierce appearance was completely out of place with the current warm and beautiful scene.

Whenever Gabriel looked at Natalie, he had to see Elijah behind her; no choice.

Gabriel's expression changed several times, then he smiled at her.

"Let your man go eat and rest. There won't be any danger at home."

He knew that after such an incident, the Clark family would send someone to protect her.

He had even made quite a few preparations in secret.

Elijah didn't move, not even blinking.

Natalie smiled, slowly putting down the magazine.

"I'm here to take care of you. Elijah is here to take care of me. It has nothing to do with whether there's danger or not.

If you find it inconvenient, just ignore him."

Gabriel was momentarily speechless. Fine, she's here; does he still fear she'll run away?

They'll get used to it gradually.

Gabriel's eyes flickered slightly as he looked at the food in front of him.

In a gentle and captivating voice, tinged with a hint of lazy seduction, he said, "Since you're here to take care of me, why don't you feed me?"
