Chapter 245 Accusing Him of Plagiarism

The cold wind hit, and Natalie was done with this place. She left without looking back.

By the time she got home, it was super late.

The next morning, she woke up to the sight of fresh green leaves outside her window, all tangled up and letting in lazy beams of light that danced on her face.

What a gorgeous day.

Last night's drama? Totally forgotten.

She hopped out of bed, freshened up, and grabbed her tablet to check the latest stock market updates.

A message from Victor popped up, sent at 4 AM: [Lillian has been dealt with. Sleep well.]

That was fast.

Victor always had her back, but his methods were never gentle.

But what was Gabriel's part in all this? She wondered for a second.

She thought of the way he looked at her last night, with all those deep, complicated emotions in his eyes.

She didn't have the energy to figure out his feelings, nor did she care.

After all, his presence didn't matter to her; she had already made her escape unscathed.

She opened her massive walk-in closet and picked out a top-tier, limited-edition casual dress for the season from her overflowing wardrobe.

Just as she was about to head out, her phone rang. It was Kelly.

She grinned.

"Ms. Edwards, you call me in the morning more reliably than my alarm clock."

Kelly grumbled, "Something big happened last night. Why didn't you tell me?"

She found out so fast?

Natalie replied casually, "Well, you know now, don't you?"

"If I hadn't heard some gossip that Lillian caused you trouble last night, got caught red-handed, shamelessly confessed to Charlie, and even alarmed Gabriel and Victor, I wouldn't have believed it was true! Where did Lillian get such guts? I heard the two bodyguards she hired were national Sanda champions. Even though you have skills, I doubt you could handle them. You didn't get hurt, did you?"

Kelly knew Natalie well. Compared to professionals, Natalie's skills could only crush most people.

But compared to national Sanda champions, she was still a bit outmatched.

Listening to her chatter, Natalie was slightly stunned.

National Sanda champions?

If she had managed to hit one of the strong men in the dark by luck, she might not have been able to handle the second one's attack!

Her hand tightened slightly. So, she owed Gabriel?

She bit her lip and finally spoke after a long pause, "No. Fortunately, they arrived in time."

"That's good. I heard Lillian was sent back to Starhaven overnight, crying all along the way. And Victor even declared that anyone who dares to cooperate with the Garcia Group in the future would be going against the Clark family. I think her career is over."

Natalie listened calmly, her expression unchanged.

She wasn't surprised by Victor's decision; after all, she would have handled it the same way.

Chatting along the way, she soon arrived at the company.

Natalie said a few concluding words and hung up the phone, ignoring Kelly's desire to gossip further.

She walked into the company with an air of elegance, wearing brand-new limited-edition high heels.

The receptionist greeted her sweetly, and Natalie waved back warmly and kindly.

Aaron placed the meeting materials in front of her.

"Ms. Clark, the meeting starts in ten minutes, but..."

Natalie looked up at him.

"What is it?"

"Mr. Lewis from ApexCorp has been waiting outside for a long time."

Natalie frowned slightly.

"Postpone the meeting and let Mr. Lewis in."

"Yes."

Nathan's face was somewhat grave, with a hint of gloom and displeasure in his eyes behind his gold-rimmed glasses.

The progress of the artificial intelligence project had been very smooth, so there shouldn't be any mistakes.

Natalie didn't know what could make Nathan look so heavy-hearted.

As soon as Aaron closed the door, Nathan sat in front of her.

"Ms. Clark, our artificial intelligence chip design has been plagiarized!"

Before Natalie could react, he revealed the truth of the investigation.

"The plagiarist is a company under the Clark Group."
