Chapter 469 Leaving Her Behind
Mike stared at the dog, which was just as tall as he was, and thought it looked both dumb and ugly.
"You can't bring pets on the plane!"
Gabriel glanced at him and smirked, "It's my plane, so I can do whatever I want."
Mike paused, suddenly feeling outdone. No way!
He grabbed Natalie's hand, swaying slightly but with a determined look in his eyes.
"Natalie, when we get back, I'll get you a plane made of gold, covered in jewels!"
He couldn't let Gabriel win her over!
Natalie forced a smile, looking at Mike.
"No need, I don't like planes."
Mike felt downcast. Another day without successfully giving a gift.
As they walked out of the hotel, the dog suddenly barked.
At the same time, Natalie noticed a woman standing at the hotel entrance, shivering slightly from the cold.
It was Briar.
She was wearing Leo's jacket, though her dress had dried. The morning chill made her look fragile and pitiful.
The dog, smelling Leo's scent on the jacket, thought Leo had arrived.
Realizing it wasn't him, it lazily followed behind Jagger.
Briar's eyes lit up when she saw Gabriel, and she started to approach him. But seeing the others behind him, she hesitated and stepped back.
Natalie's eyes flickered. It seemed Francis was determined to offer Briar to Gabriel.
Ulysses, who didn't recognize her, frowned.
"And who might this be...?"
A cold glint flashed in Gabriel's eyes.
Jagger quickly spoke up, "I don't know her, and Mr. Kensington certainly doesn't know her either!"
He seemed eager to distance himself.
But it was clear he did know her.
Briar looked at Gabriel with hurt in her eyes, hesitating before speaking.
"Mr. Gabriel Kensington, Mr. Blair Kensington invited me to Rottloe and told me to take your plane."
Gabriel's expression darkened, while Ulysses looked thoughtful.
After a few seconds, Natalie smiled, "What a coincidence. Let her come along then."
Natalie tookMike's hand and headed straight to the car.
Ulysses followed without a word.
Gabriel, leaning on his cane, took a few steps.
Briar, delighted, followed him, but then Gabriel stopped abruptly.
His voice was icy as he addressed Jagger.
"Tell the hotel to buy her a ticket."
Jagger responded loudly, "Yes, Mr. Kensington."
Briar froze in place, her body stiffening as if her blood had turned to ice.
It was as if she had been publicly humiliated and had been slapped in the face. Her dignity was shattered.
Natalie could ride on his private plane.
But she, she was only worth a ticket.
Jagger called the hotel manager, and when the manager arrived, he glanced at Briar.
"Book a ticket for Ms. Vasquez."
Then he quickly got into the car and left.
On the plane.
Natalie and Ulysses were discussing company matters, sitting face to face.
Jagger was taking care of the dog.
Gabriel had to sit across from Mike.
A flight attendant politely served Gabriel a cup of coffee and gave Mike a glass of milk, glancing at Mike with a smile, "What a cute little boy."
Mike was displeased, "We're both men, why do I get milk?"
He glanced at Natalie, who had nothing in front of her, and coughed like a little adult.
"Give me a cup of coffee, I'll take it to Natalie."
The maid had said girls love sweets, just like her.
Gabriel raised an eyebrow and smiled, "Less sugar, she doesn't like it too sweet."
