Chapter 197 Confessing Love to Me
The bartender, overhearing Natalie and Kelly's conversation, couldn't help but smirk.
'Of course. Only Natalie could call Gabriel worthless,' he thought.
Wait...
He glanced up and saw a tall man standing behind them, looking eerily like Gabriel. The bartender's hand shook, and the glass he was holding slipped and shattered on the floor.
"Mr. Kensington?"
Natalie and Kelly froze, perfectly in sync. They didn't turn around, feeling a mix of emotions.
Natalie sensed a burning gaze on her back, making her scalp tingle.
But she quickly calmed down. Why should she be scared? Even if she said it to his face, she wasn't wrong. To her, Gabriel was truly worthless. With that thought, she relaxed.
She turned her head but saw no one. Frowning, she glared at the bartender.
The bartender quickly explained, "I swear, it was Mr. Kensington. But in the blink of an eye, he was gone!"
Could he have been mistaken? No way! That feeling of being watched was too real.
Kelly sighed in relief, though she wasn't sure why she was scared in the first place.
Suddenly, a burst of noise came from the stage. The sound of drums grabbed everyone's attention. Natalie instinctively looked up and saw a familiar face lost in the rhythm.
"Mr. Walker?" she murmured, curious.
Kelly, seemingly in the know, smiled and leaned in close to Natalie. "Did you know? Lillian is coming back."
Lillian, the female CEO of Garcia Group and the current head of the Garcia family. She was a big deal in the neighboring city of Starhaven. After her parents passed away, she took over Garcia Group at a young age and single-handedly supported the Garcia family.
Everyone knew about this strong woman. She was a tough character. But what people didn't know was that Lillian had liked Charlie for many years.
Natalie was slightly shocked. "She's coming back for Charlie, isn't she?"
Kelly raised an eyebrow. "What else?"
Natalie was secretly amazed at the news. On stage, Charlie was completely immersed in his music. After a series of drum beats ended, he waved the drumsticks in his hand. A charming smile appeared on his handsome face.
Natalie instinctively waved along with everyone else. But Charlie only noticed Natalie's hand. He picked up the microphone beside him and spoke loudly, "The girl I like is confessing her love to me." As he spoke, he deliberately raised an eyebrow in Natalie's direction.
Everyone cheered! Suddenly, Natalie dropped her hand, turned her head away, covered her face, and was left speechless.
"Charlie, is he crazy or what?!" Kelly twitched the corner of her mouth. She also lowered her head, pretending not to know Charlie, who was so embarrassing!
In the upstairs private room, Gabriel observed everything keenly. He gazed intently at the dazzling Charlie on stage, emitting a cold snort of disdain. His expression remained stoic.
The woman sitting opposite him was elegant and capable, with a cool and decisive short haircut that made her seem aloof and indifferent. Although she was young, her seasoned business demeanor was not to be underestimated. The wine glass in her hand made her fingertips slightly pale. Her gaze was fixed on Charlie on stage, a swirl of complex emotions flooding through her at that moment. For a brief moment, undisguised jealousy flickered in her eyes before she quickly masked it. Her gaze remained intense.
She was Lillian.
"Mr. Kensington, I hope we have a pleasant cooperation this time."
Their glasses clinked lightly. The deal was sealed.
