Chapter 161 The Heroine in a Horror Movie

Upon hearing this, Natalie lowered her head and chuckled softly. She didn't show a trace of panic or fear. It was as if Skylar's words were insignificant to her, more laughable than a joke.

Just as Skylar's anger was about to reach its peak, Natalie slowly spoke, her tone icy and emotionless, "Ms. Nelson, are you treating me this way because of Gabriel?"

Skylar was momentarily flustered by having her thoughts exposed, but she quickly regained her composure.

There was no need to hide anything from Natalie.

Skylar snapped, "It is good you know it. Since you two are already divorced, stay far away from him. Don't show up in front of him, or don't blame me for being rude."

Natalie glanced at her and let out a cold laugh. She thought, 'She must be overthinking things.'

"I never have the habit of picking up trash. It would help if you told him to stay out of my sight," replied Natalie.

She thought, 'Do they think every woman in the world has to be madly in love with Gabriel? Is he even worth it? I had been foolish before, but thankfully, we were already divorced!'

"You!" Skylar said, turning blue with anger. Natalie's disdainful attitude clearly provoked her.

Natalie was stunningly beautiful, exuding a powerful and noble aura. It was a kind of confidence and beauty that came from within, natural and unrefined, making others both envious and jealous.

Skylar felt deeply resentful.

She thought with jealousy, 'Why can Natalie get all the good things? Why is the person I can't have someone Natalie didn't even want? Is she mocking me?'

Natalie, however, didn't want to continue the conversation; she was busy, after all. She tilted her head slightly, her gaze cold and arrogant, looking at Skylar's furious face. "You want to blacklist Dominic, but I insist on promoting him. I just want you to know who really calls the shots here!"

She didn't need to announce her abilities to the world; she only targeted Skylar.

Natalie thoguht, 'How dare she offend me?'

Natalie sneered, her eyes darkening. She would let Skylar see who was more capable!

Skylar retorted, "Fine. Natalie, do you think I'm afraid of you?"

Skylar was completely outmatched by Natalie in terms of presence, feeling extremely frustrated and angry, but she wouldn't back down.

"Let's see if you're still this confident in a few hours, Ms. Nelson," Natalie spoke indifferently and then walked inside. Skylar followed her in, unwilling to be left behind.

The receptionist, upon seeing Natalie, was noticeably more respectful. "Ms. Clark, are you here to see Mr. Brown? He'll be very happy to know you're here."

Natalie nodded and replied, "He's in, right? I'll go up then."

The receptionist, not daring to show any neglect, immediately stepped forward to guide her and press the elevator button.

Feeling ignored, Skylar was very displeased and snapped harshly, "Are you blind? Can't you see I'm still here?"

The receptionist was momentarily stunned but quickly responded seriously, "Which celebrity fan are you? Fans are not allowed inside. Stop at the door. Didn't you see the sign?"

Skylar was furious and shouted, "I'm not a fan. I want to see your CEO, Jacob. Tell him to come out and see me!"

The receptionist felt a bit helpless. Every day, many unreasonable women came to cause trouble, and she was used to it. However, she didn't expect someone to come looking for trouble so early in the morning.

She reputed, "Miss, you don't have the potential to be a star. You should go back. Hundreds of people recommend themselves every day. Do you think our CEO has time to see them all? And our company has a rule: absolutely no women who have had plastic surgery!"

One sentence completely infuriated Skylar!

She thought, 'Did she say I had plastic surgery on my face?'

Her face was done so naturally!

She believed that it would be hard for people to tell she had surgery.

Just as she was about to explode and argue, Natalie couldn't help but laugh. The receptionist was quite humorous.

She lazily stood there, looking Skylar up and down with a half-smile. "Ms. Nelson, you could star in a horror movie. You'd be perfect as the terrifying lead."

Skylar felt deeply insulted and shouted angrily at her, "Natalie, don't think I won't dare to touch you. Believe it or not, I can find someone to deal with you?"
