Chapter 274 No, I'm Scared

Natalie almost lost it when she heard the name, her excitement barely contained.

"My brother's here!"

She had almost given up hope of making it out alive!

It felt like a ton of bricks was crushing her chest, making it hard to keep going!

The constant rumbling noise was like a call to them.

Natalie had never thought a helicopter could sound so sweet, pulling her back from the edge of death.

It was her beacon of hope!

She sprinted like never before.

Felix was just as pumped, finding another way back and glancing at her as he ran.

"Natalie, we gotta stick together. You won't leave me behind, right?"

Natalie flashed a joyful smile at him.

"Of course not!"

"When we get back, no matter what, you can't ignore me."

"Don't worry; your future riches are on me!"

She thought he was scared she'd ditch him!

Wasn't he just a brother?

She could totally take care of him!

In her excitement, she didn't see the branch underfoot and tripped, her face going pale with pain.

Felix rushed over to help her up.

"No need to rush. If it's a trap, aren't we walking right into it?"

Natalie shook her head, full of excitement and confidence.

"No, it's not a trap. It has to be my brother. He's the smartest genius!"

As long as they could find Starshadow, they'd know she was here!

For over twenty minutes, they ran like their lives depended on it.

Natalie fell several times, her clothes torn and filthy beyond recognition.

Her once fair hands were now covered in wounds, bleeding heavily, a shocking sight.

But she didn't care at all, not even a word of pain.

They burst out of the forest onto a rocky beach by the sea, where three helicopters were ready and waiting, their massive rotors spinning non-stop, deafening.

Not far from the shore were eight speedboats, each with six or seven tall, fierce-looking foreign men, all armed and wearing sunglasses, ready for action.

The sea breeze whipped up huge waves, crashing angrily against the rocks, cold and solemn.

The scene was chilling, making one's heart tremble with fear.

It didn't look like a rescue mission at all.

Especially seeing the three foreign men in military uniforms standing closest to Natalie and Felix, each carrying a gun, leisurely smoking.

A cold chill rose in Natalie's heart, fear seeping into her bones!

At this moment, they were looking at the self-delivered Natalie and Felix, their eyes filled with dangerous amusement, making one's skin crawl.

They laughed wildly in unison.

But Natalie and Felix's faces turned ghostly pale.

Felix's hand holding Natalie's trembled slightly.

"They're pirates!"

Natalie tried to calm down, but her heart was racing.

Intuition was always so spot-on; seeing those three armed foreigners, she knew they were the pirates who had been chasing them.

Driven by savages, they were now lying in wait here!

And they had walked right into the trap.

Natalie stood there, her mind blank, her heart feeling like it was soaked in ice water, bone-chillingly cold.

Despair had never hit so hard, like a black cloud hanging over her head.

She felt like crying.

Why did they keep pushing her to the brink of survival?

The three pirates tossed their cigarettes, exchanged glances, and walked towards them unhurriedly.

Natalie gritted her teeth, trying to suppress the immense fear in her heart.

"Run."

Felix's voice was trembling with restraint.

"No, I'm scared. They have guns."
