Chapter 152 Only You Deserve It

Skylar had just returned to the country to join the fun. She didn't expect to see Gabriel here, so she went all out to switch her seat. She simply wanted to get close to Gabriel.

Three years ago, Natalie took her chance away, and three years later, she wouldn't hold back!

Gabriel didn't say a word, his face a bit cold, and the disgust in his eyes was already obvious.

If Brad, sitting next to him, couldn't see it, then the time he had spent serving as Gabriel's assistant would be a waste.

At this moment, he quickly suggested, "Mr. Kensington, how about we switch seats?"

Gabriel stood up without a word, and Brad quickly moved aside, sitting in Gabriel'soriginal seat.

That done, Brad braced himself, ignoring Skylar's resentful and piercing gaze beside him.

Natalie's phone rang; it was a message from Mia.

Mia texted: [Is the woman next to Gabriel Skylar from Gemini Entertainment?]

Natalie frowned slightly at the sight of the name.

She replied: [I can't tell.]

It took her a while to remember who Skylar was.

Skylar was a socialite who once declared she would marry no one but Gabriel. Her father was a big shot in the entertainment industry. She  was born with a silver spoon in her mouth.

But after being rejected by Gabriel, she was so devastated that she went to Veridonia for plastic surgery.

Unexpectedly, as soon as she left, Gabriel and Natalie got married.

In a foreign land, just after her surgery, Skylar was heartbroken! She was in utter despair!

Mia added: [I heard she spent over $160,000 on a full-face surgery in Veridonia. Her chin is sharp enough to pierce paper, right?] Mia sent a shocked emoji.

Natalie chuckled; it had nothing to do with her, and she couldn't care less. As she looked up, the auction began.

She wasn't interested in anything else.

But Natalie was inexplicably drawn to those cufflinks.

When the cufflinks auction started, the bid was $20,000, which was already a high price for cufflinks.

Dominic, sitting next to her, raised his paddle without hesitation.

"$50,000—"

"$100,000—"

The bidding went up to $300,000, and there were still people bidding.

Dominic was starting to waver. For a newcomer, the price was already high.

Something occurred to Natalie; The auction was boring, yet Dominic still took time to accompany her to attend it. She thoguht she should show some appreciation.

She raised her paddle without hesitation.

"$400,000—"

The previous bidder saw it was Natalie and clearly didn't intend to continue.

But unexpectedly, Skylar raised her paddle and said, "$450,000—"

She excitedly spoke to Gabriel, "Gabriel, I'll give this to you as a gift."

Gabriel showed no reaction.

Skylar wasn't discouraged. Since Natalie was the bidder, Skylar didn't want to miss this chance to turn the tables.

Sitting close by, Natalie heard everything clearly.

She thought with interests, 'Skylar must have misunderstood her worth. Does she think she can compete with me?'

Natalie called out, "$1,000,000—"

The whole room was in an uproar. This was truly the highest price for cufflinks.

Skylar's excitement quickly turned to shock and silence because she couldn't come up with more than a million dollars in pocket money.

Her hatred for Natalie deepened!

Dominic, standing beside, wanted to say something but feared it was wishful thinking.

Just as the auctioneer was about to finalize the bid, a deep, rich male voice sounded. "$1,100,000."

It was Gabriel.

These cufflinks weren't worth that much, but he had collected all of Master Pire's cufflinks except for this pair, and without them, the collection was incomplete.

He was determined to get them.

Natalie had no use for these men's cufflinks.

Now, everyone thought there was a good show to watch.

They had just divorced, and now they were at odds. They wondered who would win in the end.

Natalie pondered for a moment and raised her paddle again. "$1,200,000."

The price was just a number to them.

Dominic couldn't help but speak, "Ms. Clark, let it go; it's not worth that much."

Natalie smiled at him without saying a word.

Gabriel bid again without hesitation.

He directly raised it to $1,500,000. He glanced slightly in Natalie's direction.

At this moment, Natalie's attention wasn't on him at all; she was just looking at the cufflinks with a somewhat obsessed longing.

Natalie didn't hesitate, raising her paddle. "$2,000,000."

"$2,000,000 once."

"$2,000,000 twice."

The auctioneer paused, dragging it out for a few seconds, deliberately waiting for Gabriel to compete.
