Chapter 180 I Can't Be Caught
Gabriel sat in his office at Kensington Group, scrolling through the latest gossip online, his brows furrowed. This twist, even Brad didn't see it coming. Mr. Kensington must be happy now. One less competitor? But Brad didn't see any sign of happiness on Gabriel's face.
"Mr. Kensington?" Brad called out.
Gabriel's face was somber. He should have figured it out earlier. Yves had no interest in women in the entertainment industry and had no scandals at all. He was only good to Natalie and never avoided suspicion. Turns out Yves was also Ulysses's son! If they hadn't divorced, Yves would be his brother-in-law! What a surprise.
Although he felt a bit relieved, thinking about his attitude towards Yves yesterday, he felt a slight sense of frustration in his chest. If Brad knew what Gabriel was thinking, he would be very surprised!
Gabriel's expression was cold. "Anything else?"
Brad reported, "Josh, the chairman of NovaTech Group, is here. He says he has something to discuss with you."
Gabriel answered, "Let him in."
Brad replied, "Yes." He went out to invite him in.
When Josh laid eyes on Gabriel, despite being the elder, he displayed a sense of respect and restraint. "Gabriel, have you considered the Azure Cove project?" Securing this project for NovaTech Group could cover our expenses and profits for at least a year.
Surrounded by an aura of coldness, Gabriel remained expressionless and didn't rush to respond. "I had it looked into. The Clark Group is handling the Azure Cove project, and NovaTech Group is not invested. Does it matter if I'm interested?"
Josh smiled and straightened his attire confidently. "Gabriel, with your involvement, I believe we can win this project. It's a battle we're destined to conquer. You needn't worry about the rest."
"Mr. Martin, I must ask, where do you derive such confidence to speak these words?" Gabriel's gaze bore into Josh.
Josh paused. It seemed he had to reveal his trump card, or Gabriel wouldn't budge. "Alright, actually, I approached the developer of this project, Peter. Clark Group has always worked with Peter. I bought him off at a high price. As long as he stops working, Clark Group's Azure Cove project can't proceed. By then, the project will either be abandoned or sold cheaply."
Josh chuckled, his eyes gleaming. "Gabriel, Victor is abroad, not at Clark Group. Natalie is just a woman; she can't hold the fort. This is a great opportunity to take advantage. Don't forget that when she dealt with the Kensington family before, she showed no mercy. You can take this chance to get revenge!"
Gabriel's expression darkened even further, the icy aura around him growing more intense.
Noticing Gabriel's silence, Josh interpreted it as a sign of temptation and continued pushing. "If we collaborate, everything will proceed seamlessly. Blair also brought up your recent marriage. If you're inclined to challenge the Clark Group, NovaTech Group will support you. Moreover, my daughter---."
Before Josh could finish, Gabriel interrupted him, his tone icy. "Mr. Martin, you should know Blair's words don't matter anymore."
In an instant, Josh seemed to feel Gabriel's chilling aura. His coldness and ruthlessness were undisguised. His ability to speak disrespectfully about Blair in front of him proved that he had the strength and confidence to do so.
Gabriel stated, "The Kensington family hasn't fallen to the point of relying on marriage alliances. Back then, I could marry the penniless Natalie, and in the future, I won't care who the mistress of the Kensington family is. But it definitely won't be Hannah." Every word he said was filled with coldness.
In an instant, Josh's dream was shattered. Back then, Blair praised Hannah several times in front of him, hinting at a match between Gabriel and Hannah. Josh was thrilled, thinking he had hit the jackpot. But now, Gabriel made it clear thay marriage alliance is absolutely impossible!
Gabriel's voice remained firm as he added, "Furthermore, Kensington Group has no intentions of involvement in the Azure Cove project. Mr. Martin, please take your leave."
Believing he could leverage the Kensington Group, Josh didn't anticipate leaving without progress!
Brad escorted the visitor out, and Josh couldn't conceal his disappointment. Just as he exited, a call came in from Hannah.
"Dad, Clark Group hired a lawyer to sue me. You have to help me," Hannah said.
