Chapter 406 Professional Pleasing
Jagger was so dedicated, he wouldn't miss a single chance to bring people together!
Gabriel stared at him, expressionless and speechless.
Elijah rolled his eyes, not wanting to look at him.
Natalie smirked, "Mr. Kensington's hiring style has changed quite a bit, hasn't it?"
Gabriel's team was always composed of carefully selected elites.
This Jagger didn't seem to have any advantages. Just from his physique, he should have been excluded from Gabriel's circle. Yet, he became his butler?
Gabriel pursed his lips, about to find an excuse to explain, when Jagger leaned in, eyes crinkling with a smile.
"Ms. Clark, I got in through connections!"
Natalie looked intrigued. "Whose relative are you?"
Jagger squirmed, "I'm Brad's cousin. Please don't spread this around, or people will gossip, and it's so annoying!"
Natalie couldn't help but laugh, "Alright."
So he was Brad's relative, and he had such a big favor with Gabriel?
Unexpected!
She had just taken a couple of steps when she remembered why she had come back.
"My stuff,"
"Didn't throw it away, Ms. Clark. It's all put back, don't worry!"
Natalie breathed a sigh of relief, her face softening, her mood improving significantly.
Sitting at the dining table, Gabriel looked up at her and chuckled.
So she did care about something, at least she left her cherished makeup here.
Natalie shot him a glare. Eat your food, what's with the silly grin?
Jagger might look chubby, but his movements were agile, not sluggish at all.
The few simple dishes were elegant and not greasy, looking very appetizing.
Natalie tasted a bit of everything.
Gabriel's eyes warmed, his appetite improving.
Jagger felt gratified that his culinary skills were recognized. No wonder he had worked so hard to get his chef's certificate, almost bankrupting the school in the process.
Seeing the two had almost finished eating, he began to flatter them.
"Mr. Kensington is truly amazing, even when sick, he insists on working. What kind of spirit is this? Perseverance, never giving up, that's the role model we young people should learn from. Ms. Clark, don't you agree?"
Natalie, being addressed, suddenly looked up at Gabriel across the table.
"Yes."
Gabriel's expression, originally fine, almost choked on Jagger's words, his expression turning unusually dark.
Because Jagger's cooking was decent, he wanted to pass his probation, but Jagger kept shaking his resolve.
"Such a man is hard to find. Look at men nowadays, a bit of pressure and they complain, blaming this and that. Not like our Mr. Kensington, who just does without saying, a true model, a model!"
Suddenly, a violent coughing sound came from the kitchen, as if Elijah couldn't help but choke on himself.
Jagger ran in concerned.
"Elijah, are you okay?"
"No."
"Then have some water."
Jagger swiftly poured him water, but Elijah, afraid of choking to death, stubbornly refused to drink.
Outside, Natalie looked at Gabriel with a teasing smile.
"A role model? Mr. Kensington is truly deserving!"
Gabriel closed his eyes, feeling humiliated!
He exuded a cold aura, impossible to ignore.
Natalie smiled, eyes crinkling, stood up, and walked upstairs with a light step. Jagger was truly a character!
"Ms. Clark went upstairs, I haven't finished yet. To find a man, you need someone like Mr. Kensington, good looks, high ability, and strong stress resistance."
"Shut up!"
Gabriel couldn't take it anymore.
