Chapter 401 Who Warns Whom
Gabriel was going to fire her?
Did he overhear her phone call just now?
Panic surged through Natalie, making her shiver.
She knew exactly how Gabriel felt about her now. He would go through with it!
Julia, in tears, called Wendy for help.
Less than an hour later, Wendy stormed in, furious.
She ran into Natalie, who was about to go out shopping.
Wendy barged in, seething with anger, and pointed at Natalie, yelling, "You tramp! Even after the divorce, you still cling to my son. When we tried to reconcile, you pretended to be unwilling, and now you pull this stunt. Shameless!"
Natalie looked at Wendy with cold eyes. Ten years, and nothing had changed. She still despised her.
"Mrs. Kensington, I suggest you watch your mouth. Just because you're older doesn't mean I'll tolerate your nonsense."
Wendy's face darkened with rage. Natalie had no respect for her anymore.
In the past, she was used to bossing Natalie around, thinking she wouldn't fight back. But now that Natalie was standing up to her, she couldn't handle it.
What infuriated her the most was that Natalie dared to resist.
Julia quickly ran over, crying and wiping her tears.
"Mrs. Wendy Kensington, Mr. Gabriel Kensington is going to fire me. You have to help me..."
Wendy sneered and glanced at Natalie.
"Don't worry. As long as I'm here, no one will get rid of you. Stay put. If someone doesn't want to see you, you should stay just to spite them!"
Natalie rolled her eyes. Was Wendy delusional?
Did she think Natalie had tattled?
She didn't want to explain, nor did she want to waste time arguing like a shrew.
She lifted her foot to leave.
But Wendy wasn't about to let her go so easily.
She stepped in front of her. "Natalie, I'm warning you, don't try anything with my son. Do you think no one knows what you're up to?"
Natalie raised an eyebrow. "What am I up to that no one knows about?"
"You want to harm my son. You gave him random medication. I'm telling you, I'll be watching you!"
"Who do you think you're watching?" Gabriel's voice was icy, barely containing his anger.
Behind him stood Brad.
Wendy rushed over as soon as she saw him. "Gabriel, this woman..."
"I've told you before, if you cause trouble again, Angela will be delayed by ten years."
His voice was devoid of warmth, chilling to the bone.
Wendy's face turned pale, a mix of anger and resentment.
"I'm doing this for your good!"
"That's not necessary!" Gabriel's words were practically spat out through gritted teeth.
Wendy pointed at Natalie, her voice hoarse and her face twisted.
"Didn't you see how she treated me just now? Do you expect me to bow and scrape to her?"
Natalie let out a cold laugh.
She turned to Wendy.
"Mrs. Kensington, I've been more than polite. Don't expect things to go back to the way they were, where you could trample all over me.
Honestly, the fact that I haven't retaliated is already merciful. You should be grateful!"
Wendy trembled with rage at her words.
"How dare you! My son ended up like this because he saved you."
"That's right, your son saved me. But what does that have to do with you? Do I owe you any gratitude? You're giving yourself too much credit."
"Natalie, you."
"Mrs. Kensington, if this maid gets fired, fine. But if she doesn't... I'll send her to that island where I fell before. It's much more interesting there."
Natalie said, casting a casual glance at Julia.
The implication was clear.
Julia shivered, her face turning deathly pale with fear.
Natalie smirked and leisurely walked out.
What a mood killer!
