Chapter 443 Skilled at Pleasing
By the time dawn rolled around, the streets were deserted and the fireworks had stopped.
Only then did they start their journey back.
When they got back to the castle, the butler had already set out meals for each of them in their rooms.
Ulysses, worn out, went straight to bed.
Robert carried the sleepy little Mike to his room.
Natalie, feeling tired and not particularly hungry, headed upstairs directly.
To her surprise, Gabriel's room was right across from hers.
Jagger, who was delivering the meals, called out to Natalie.
"Hey, Ms. Clark, have some soup. I made sure it was perfect. It's great for your skin, tastes amazing, and won't make you gain weight!"
He always had a knack for putting people at ease.
Natalie hesitated for a moment, and Jagger took the chance to slip inside.
"Mr. Kensington worked hard for that 3D fireworks show. He contacted a ton of departments and spent millions just so you could enjoy the fireworks by Serenity River. If I were a woman, I'd be so grateful I'd jump into the river!"
Natalie jumped, her heart skipping a beat.
"Fireworks? Weren't they for the Fairland King's birthday celebration?"
Jagger looked at her in shock, his features almost contorting with surprise.
"Is that a coincidence? The King lucked out then, because those fireworks weren't for him. Mr. Kensington said the trip shouldn't be too quiet. He wanted to make sure Ms. Natalie Clark and Mr. Ulysses Clark had a good time, so he arranged this fireworks show. Think about it, when has the King's birthday ever been celebrated on such a grand scale?"
Natalie's expression changed slightly.
She suddenly remembered that in the years she had been here, she had been so focused on her business that she had never seen any grand celebrations for the King's birthday.
But she never really cared about those days.
There were always some followers who remembered, and she just watched the festivities.
It seemed Gabriel had arranged the fireworks.
"Thank you."
Natalie pressed her lips together and spoke.
Her heart felt heavy, as if she owed Gabriel a debt she hadn't repaid.
Just then, the door across the hall opened.
Gabriel stood in the doorway, holding a cane.
He looked tall and upright, with slightly messy hair falling over his forehead.
Despite his pale complexion, he appeared almost normal.
His brows carried a brooding charm, and his thin lips parted slightly.
"Why aren't you resting yet?"
Jagger cheerfully emerged from Natalie's room.
"Ms. Clark found out about the fireworks show you arranged for her. She was so moved that she almost cried. She said Mr. Kensington, despite his busy schedule, still thought of these things. She feels incredibly touched and excited, hoping you'll recover soon so you can stand together, hand in hand, to watch the fireworks!"
Natalie, who hadn't closed her door yet, was speechless.
She had only said "Thank you," so how did Jagger manage to fabricate the rest?
She looked at Jagger with a complex expression. This man could stand out among the talented.
Maybe he wasn't just Brad's cousin?
His ability to please people was unfathomable.
Gabriel raised an eyebrow slightly, his stern face softening with a gentle ease.
His narrow eyes studied Natalie, and the corners of his lips curled up.
"Alright, don't cry."
He promised to recover quickly, so she wouldn't be moved to tears.
Gabriel's hair fell lazily, giving him a relaxed aura.
The coldness and distance in his demeanor had faded significantly.
He no longer appeared to be the arrogant CEO of Kensington Group. Natalie looked at Gabriel speechlessly. Did he believe Jagger's words?
With that level of intelligence, how did he navigate the cutthroat business world?
She was truly at a loss for words.
