Chapter 26 What's the Wager?
Michael took a bow with John and Natalie, and Natalie smiled, calmly bowing and leaving the stage.
Fortunately, Natalie hadn't forgotten the basics, and she was somewhat satisfied with her performance.
Michael and John walked towards her. John patted her shoulder and said, "Natalie, do you want to join our band? We're willing to kick Andrew out for you!"
Natalie smiled and lowered her head. "If Andrew hears you say that, he'll probably get up from his sickbed and fight you."
Michael was excited, "We're truly thrilled today! The arrangement of this song was originally yours, and besides Andrew, only you could cooperate with us so perfectly. Natalie, it's like I've seen the you from three years ago!"
Natalie felt a bitter sweetness in her heart. She seemed to have missed out on too many exciting moments in life, but fortunately, it wasn't too late for her to turn around now.
John still didn't give up and tried to persuade her, "Natalie, with you in our band, we'll definitely shock the music world!"
Just as Natalie was about to refuse him, Mia walked in with a smile.
"You better give up, Natalie is preparing to HYPERLINK "link:take" take HYPERLINK "link:over" over HYPERLINK "link:the" the HYPERLINK "link:family" family HYPERLINK "link:business" business."
Mia took Natalie away from the backstage, and as soon as they left, Kelly hugged her tightly. "Natalie, you were amazing! You're my goddess! You have no idea how excited everyone was, your violin playing was incredible!"
Natalie had this unforgettable evening, thanks to Charlie's arrangement.
Gabriel and Leo must have already left, Natalie thought to herself as she saw Mia and Kelly return to the second floor. But to her surprise, she found Leo and Gabriel sitting next to Charlie and Henry, inexplicably staring at her as she had just come upstairs.
Kelly, dissatisfied, let out a cold snort and pulled Natalie to sit on the other side of Charlie. "Charlie, instead of sitting here bored, watching people we'd rather not see, let's play something."
Charlie shrugged. "Sure, there are still many performances to come."
In the bar, the audience below cheered and The Maniacs were once again invited back on stage.
"I didn't know Natalie played the violin! Why haven't I heard about it before?" Leo couldn't help but ask. He was truly amazed tonight.
At that moment, Natalie stood on the stage, proud and dazzling, like a queen commanding the whole room.
"Do I need to tell you? Who are you?" Kelly sneered, engaging in banter with him.
Leo knew he would be retorted, so he shrugged indifferently. "Didn't you say let's play something? Let's play dice together."
Kelly coldly snorted, standing up for Natalie.
Gabriel, who had remained silent all along, spoke with a heavy tone. "Natalie, are you afraid to play craps?"
Since she had come upstairs, Gabriel's gaze had remained fixed on her. Sitting there, swaying the glass in her hand, she looked down casually as if they didn't exist.
Gabriel suppressed the intense emotions in his chest. The Natalie in front of him felt both familiar and unfamiliar, making him feel incredibly complex.
When Natalie's name was called, she casually looked up and swept her eyes over Gabriel, saying with a faint smile, "Why not?"
Although Natalie was somewhat surprised by Gabriel's words, she was not afraid. Since they no longer had any relationship, why should she be afraid of a gambling game?
Kelly objected discontentedly, "Don't play with him! He's trying to provoke you!"
Mia, however, held Kelly back and looked at them, saying, "Don't worry, Natalie knows what she's doing."
Gabriel had grown up with a group of playboys, so he was familiar with all kinds of entertainment. Dice was the most basic thing, and he had already ensured victory in this gambling game. Leo couldn't hide his laughter on the side.
The waiter set up the table, both sides prepared to play. Natalie didn't make a move, but instead lowered her head in contemplation before asking, "What's the wager?"
