Chapter 7 Cyberbullying

Natalie and Kelly returned home. Kelly kept grumbling along the way. "She's a real piece of work. If she wasn't so long in the tooth, I'd give her a piece of my mind!"

Natalie was used to this. She chuckled, "Oh well. Don't be angry with her. Anyway, we won't have any contact with her in the future."

They chatted and laughed. When they returned to the Clark Villa, they saw Natalie's busy brother, Victor Clark, who rarely made an appearance. He sat on the couch, reading the newspaper with a serious and aloof look.

Natalie happily went over and playfully hugged him from behind. Despite not having seen each other for three years, they were not at all unfamiliar.

"Victor, you finally came back. How come you disappeared after dropping me off last time?"

Victor allowed her to shake him around, indulgent yet helpless. His cold demeanor was shattered by the warm atmosphere.

"I had an important meeting to attend. I came back as soon as it was over. Here. This is a gift."

No matter how far Victor traveled on business, he would always bring a gift. It was his habit. This time, the gift he gave Natalie was a limited edition custom-made bag that had not yet been released in the country, with a price tag of several million dollars. It was extremely precious and unique.

However, he had known in advance that Kelly was also there, so he also prepared a custom-made Chanel perfume that women loved.

She blushed as she accepted it and whispered a "Thank you."

But Victor didn't mind, he just stared at Natalie. He knew she wasn't doing well and felt extremely sorry for her, so he only wanted to give her the best.

Natalie keenly observed Kelly's reaction and smiled even brighter. She had already imagined many future scenes in her mind.

"Your brothers, Yohan and Yves, are busy now. Yohan's knee-deep in a hush-hush research project overseas and can't make it back for now. As for Yves, he's rubbing elbows with the stars at an international film festival and will be home in a few days. In the meantime, you'll be riding shotgun with me to the company."

Natalie frowned, but she knew she couldn't escape and could only nod in agreement.

That night, Kelly cursed, "Damn it!" Then, in a hurry, she called Natalie. In the middle of the night, with sleepy eyes, Natalie answered the phone. "What's wrong?"

"Go online and have a look. You're already divorced, but the Kensington family is still slandering you, accusing you of stealing a necklace. If you go back before tomorrow, they won't involve the police. Otherwise, you'll be in trouble. It has caused a huge stir online!"

Natalie's heart sank. She immediately went online and sure enough, the trending topic was "Rich Mr. Kensington's ex-wife."

According to the official statement from the Kensington Group, Natalie was accused of being immoral for getting divorced and allegedly stealing valuable jewelry.

"Valuable? Do they dare to flaunt a necklace worth ten million dollars? Do they think we've never seen precious things before?" Kelly raged and cursed.

The online comments were directing public opinion towards Natalie due to her low morals leading to her expulsion from the elite community.

Netizens wished for her to be cursed and wanted to see her verbally attacked. They even discovered Natalie's private account, where she documented bits and pieces of her happy life over the past three years, which became the object of contempt for internet users.
"What kind of happy life? It must have been all fake!"

"It's satisfying to see her kicked out of the elite community!"

"We should call the police. She's not only a hypocrite but also a thief."

Natalie had only seen the jewelry set once, and Gabriel had locked it in a safe. She did not know the password and had never asked for it.

She couldn't help but sneer. Gabriel had not shown her any decency since their divorce. He had actually started accusing her.

She thought, ‘Did he think I would just take it?’
Natalie immediately dialed Victor's phone number. "Victor, I remember Yves' entertainment company is under my name. Who manages it?"
Victor paused and massaged his temples. He had just found out about this. "It's Jacob Brown. I'll make sure he deals with the online matter right away."
"No need. I'll handle it myself."
Natalie's tone was cold. She thought, ‘Isn't it just a direct confrontation? Does he think I'm too afraid?’
The matter was discussed throughout the entire night. Natalie had become the laughingstock of everyone.
But at 8 o'clock in the morning, Natalie logged into her private account and directly posted a photo and a statement.
After finishing all this, she looked at the clear weather outside and smiled sarcastically.
She regretted marrying Gabriel.
