Chapter 80 Get Out
Aaron hesitated momentarily before speaking. "Mr. Clark had intended to handle the situation upon his return to the country, but if you wish to take action, I can facilitate the necessary arrangements."
The evidence, after all, was securely in Natalie's possession. She had already submitted it to the appropriate authorities, ensuring that Jessica would face severe consequences.
As the elevator doors slid open, passing individuals greeted Natalie with warmth. She reciprocated each greeting with a gracious smile.
Upon returning to her office, Natalie instructed, "Investigate Jessica's recent activities. I want to give her a memorable reminder."
Aaron informed her, "Lately, Jessica has been fraternizing with affluent women and heiresses. I've heard she plans to attend a social gathering tonight."
Natalie's eyebrow arched in interest. "Later, send the address to my phone. I'd like to observe the event."
Aaron nodded in agreement. "Alright, Ms. Clark."
Aaron was adept at gathering such information, but Natalie's gaze lingered on him. "If there's nothing else, you may leave. Inform Victor that I'm initiating action."
"Understood, Ms. Clark," Aaron responded before exiting the room.
After a moment of solitude, Natalie dialed Jacob's number.
His casual, familiar voice filled the room. "Ms. Clark, are you attempting to gain notoriety?" Jacob teased, referencing Natalie's frequent appearances in the headlines.
Natalie massaged her forehead. "Please, remove these news articles. My brother has caused enough trouble."
Jacob chuckled. "I believe your brother is more concerned about you. I've noticed Mr. Kensington's image in numerous photos. It seems he's trying to provoke Gabriel."
Natalie pondered over the idea of Gabriel becoming incensed over her association with another man. She hesitated before replying, "I don't want to be photographed with him. Please, Mr. Brown."
Jacob reassured her, "Ms. Clark, don't worry. Just instruct me on your desired course of action, and I'll comply." He smiled to himself, thinking, 'I'm still collaborating with her, so naturally, I must keep her content.'
After ending the call, Natalie noticed the address Aaron had sent to her phone. It was a familiar location, a high-end club situated near the "Sound" bar. Coincidentally, Natalie was a member of that club.
Meanwhile, in the president's office of the Kensington Group, Gabriel stood by the floor-to-ceiling window. He watched the flow of traffic below, his restless mood gradually subsiding. He pondered, 'What could they possibly have done in the short time from the airport to home?'
Gabriel had recently seen Yves at Natalie's residence, which had aroused his suspicions. Could he have misunderstood the situation?
However, the online discussions continued to intensify. Some individuals slandered Natalie, accusing her of being promiscuous and insinuating that she had been involved with Yves even before her divorce.
Yves' fans were split into two factions. Some applauded Yves for his openness about his relationship, while others disapproved, believing that Natalie, being divorced, was not worthy of Yves.
Some went as far as to label Natalie as inherently licentious, claiming that despite marrying into wealth, she remained unfaithful. They suggested that her divorce was a result of her knowledge of the wealthy family's secrets.
Gabriel scoffed at these baseless rumors, thinking, 'Insider information? As if they're entitled to such knowledge.'
Brad knocked on the door, interrupting Gabriel's thoughts. "Mr. Kensington, these documents require your signature."
Gabriel's expression hardened. "Suppress the airport news online," he ordered, pausing before adding, "If the true scandal about us is discovered, it could negatively impact the Kensington Group's stock price."
Brad, initially taken aback, quickly recovered. "Yes, Mr. Kensington. I'll handle it immediately."
A short while later, Brad knocked on the door again, hesitating before speaking, "Mr. Kensington, the online news heat has subsided, and all articles about Ms. Clark have vanished."
Gabriel was taken aback and thought, 'That was quick!'
Brad continued, "I hadn't yet contacted the media and platforms, so it appears someone else intervened."
"Who?" Gabriel inquired.
Brad replied, "An influential online personality informed me that it was Mr. Brown of Heggte Entertainment."
Brad studied Gabriel's face, noting the gradual chilling of his gaze. Gabriel remained silent, causing Brad to refrain from further conversation, even regulating his breathing.
Gabriel had been outmaneuvered. Although the outcome was the same, he was far from pleased.
"Get out," Gabriel commanded through gritted teeth.
