Chapter 23 Call me Ms. Clark

Natalie took out her phone, looked at the hot search rankings, and then smirked before putting her phone aside, no longer paying attention to the matter.

She understood the background of the Dixon family and knew that Leo's parents had pressured him. Otherwise, with Leo's personality, he would never apologize to her.

Natalie knew that Leo must hate her now.

After a knock on the door, Jessica entered with a smile and asked, "Ms. Clark, may I come in?"

Natalie nodded and said, "Please come in."

After Jessica entered, she glanced at Kelly. It seemed like she didn't want to chat with Natalie in front of a third person, but Kelly just wouldn't leave.

"Do you need something?"
"I saw Aaron sorting out the project materials about the Zorblax Group. Ms. Clark, you just arrived, so you may not be aware of this. Our relationship with the Zorblax Group is average and we have very few opportunities for collaboration. Ms. Clark, if you want to establish yourself in the company, it's better to cooperate with the Fenden Group. I know they have a project that is suitable for our company."

Jessica put the documents in front of Natalie and raised an eyebrow, smiling as if she was doing Natalie a big favor.

Natalie hesitated and said, "Alright, I will consider it."

"Ms. Clark, you must make this collaboration work. The Fenden Group and our company have been old friends. If you can secure this project, you will definitely establish yourself in the company."

Thinking about how Jessica was targeting her in the meeting and now suddenly being so enthusiastic, Natalie knew she must have some ulterior motive.

Natalie looked up at her, smiling with a deep meaning, "Please show me some respect."

Jessica paused for a moment and coldly said, "Just because Mr. Clark supports you doesn't mean you can behave so arrogantly. You may not necessarily be able to stay in the company. Anyway, I have given you a chance, whether you can seize it or not is up to you."
After saying that, Jessica turned around and left, slamming the door behind her.
With a stunned look on her face as Jessica stormed out, Kelly asked, "So, who's running the show here, you or her?"

Natalie casually opened the files Jessica brought and said, "She thinks that if I didn't come, this position would be hers."
"She's overestimating herself, isn't she?"
Natalie raised an eyebrow and sarcastically said before handing the documents to Kelly.
"I remember that the vice president of Fenden Group was one of your pursuers."

Kelly was taken aback, laughed, and said, "Don't worry, I will definitely find out what her ulterior motive is for you."

Kelly felt that since Natalie wanted to focus on her career seriously, she had to support her.

Natalie's phone rang. She glanced at it and saw that it was a call from her longtime friend Mia, whom she hadn't contacted for a long time. Mia had founded the internationally renowned brand Share and her private fashion shows were highly popular.
After answering the call, Mia couldn't wait to say, "Come out and hang out with us. Let's gather together. I'll be waiting for you at Sound Bar."

Natalie smiled. She also missed these friends. "Sure, I'll definitely go."

Just as she hung up the phone, Kelly added Natalie to a group chat. There were five people in the group, including Mia, Charlie, and Henry.

Mia: [Natalie can finally hang out with us again!]
Charlie: [To celebrate Natalie's divorce, I drank all night. You're finally divorced!]
Henry: [Congratulations on Natalie's divorce!]
Natalie smiled helplessly.
Kelly: [There's nothing we can do. Friends knew you were not doing well and would curse at Gabriel in this group, afraid that you would feel sad if you saw it, so we didn't add you. Luckily, you finally came to terms with everything.]

Natalie realized that she had indeed been wrong before and could only thank her friends for their continuous support.

Leo was in a bad mood and called Gabriel out for a drink that night. The two arrived at the Sound bar. As soon as they got out of the car, Leo rubbed his eyes and said, "Oh my God, why do I keep running into this woman everywhere?"
