Chapter 117 I Am Not That Generous

Blair squinted his eyes, his face darkened as he let out a cold snort, glaring at Ulysses and Natalie and gritting his teeth in anger.

Blair said, "Mr. Clark, is there anything else? I've seen all the drama for today, and it was truly unexpected!"

Clearly, this whole act was put on for the Kensington family.

He thought, 'No wonder Nataliewas so fearless when Icomplained in her office last time. Clearly, she was deliberately mocking me!'

Ulysses glanced at Gabriel, who still showed no emotion, standing there with a noble and steady demeanor—so young yet so unflappable, truly a rare talent.

If it weren't for his questionable private life and the fact that he had hurt Natalie many times, Ulysses would have had no reservations.

Otherwise, he would have accepted a man like this as Natalie's husband!

"Mr. Kensington, I can't understand why you're angry. My daughter married into the Kensington family and became a downtrodden servant. After the divorce, she was treated like a rat everyone wanted to beat. Shouldn't Mr. Kensington give us an explanation?" he questioned.

Ulysses's voice carried a hint of coldness.

Blair was stunned, and Wendy and Angela were also shocked. Was Ulysses here to settle scores for Natalie?

Gabriel's deep-set eyes narrowed slightly, his gaze fixed on Natalie.

She stared at the dark blue sapphire cufflinks on Ulysses's arm, absentmindedly picking at his suit as if extremely unwilling to see them, not even sparing a glance at their way.

Since earlier, he had been utterly shocked!

But he had kept all his shock buried deep inside. All the unbelievable things about Natalie after the divorce now made sense and seemed perfectly logical.

But this explosive news was truly too unexpected!

Blair coughed, his face turning stern. "Natalie hid her identity; how could we have known she was your daughter?"

He tried to shift the blame, looking for an excuse to defend himself.

Ulysses let out a cold laugh and retorted, "So, you mistreated her, and that's our fault? Back then, she liked Gabriel and wanted to marry him. I was actually against it, but she married him when I wasn't paying attention. I was so angry that I hadn't contacted her for three years. I thought it would be okay as long as she was happy. Who would have thought the Kensington family didn't value her at all?"

Wendy spoke up in a panic, "She ate well and lived well in the Kensington family; why do you say that she was mistreated? We had been nice to her. She didn't appreciate it and hid her identity to deceive us. Can't we be angry?"

Ulysses's face turned stern, and he was just about to speak when Natalie tugged at his clothes, her voice cold and mocking. "Nothing in the world is your Kensington family's fault. It's all my bad, being subservient, trying to win genuine affection with my blood, and losing my mind for three years. I'm not a particularly generous person. In the future, I'll have to repay you all bit by bit."

Natalie curled her lips, not hiding her disdain. Did they think she would easily let go of past grievances?

Did they think she could forget those humiliations?

Once she got the opportunity, she would certainly kick them when they were down! Wendy's face stiffened, and Blair glared at her angrily, annoyed by her loose tongue. Wendy shrank her neck in fear, not daring to speak again.

Standing silently on the side, Alyssa suddenly stepped forward, her voice soft and weak. "Natalie, I know you hate me. It was me who used so much of your blood; it has nothing to do with the rest of the Kensington family. If I had known you were the daughter of the Clark family, I wouldn't have let Gabriel treat you this way. Now that it's all in the past, I hope you can forgive us."

Though she was unwilling to accept Natalie's true identity, because her previous sense of superiority now seemed insignificant compared to Natalie's current status.

She hated Natalie's good fortune. Why could she easily obtain things others couldn't? Gabriel had to be hers!

Natalie cast a cold glance at her. Alyssa really knew how to make herself the center of attention. She let out a cold laugh. "This isn't a place for trash. Do you have any right to speak here?"
