Chapter 58 Don't Waste Your Time On Me

Finally, Wendy and Angela disappeared from Natalie's sight. She glanced indifferently at Gabriel outside the elevator, as if he was a stranger.

After Rance got into the stylish sports car, he finally asked his lingering question, "Is this ring worth a lot of money? Why does the Kensington family want it so desperately?"

Natalie smiled and looked at the box in her hand. "It should have a history of a thousand years. I heard it leaked out from a palace, and it has been with the Kensington family for almost eight hundred years. So, do you think it's valuable?"

Rance slowed down the car noticeably, feeling shocked. It was truly priceless.
Why would they auction such a valuable ring?

No wonder Gabriel dared to have Natalie directly make an offer. Perhaps even if he said it was worth a billion dollars, he wouldn't hesitate at all.

Natalie's phone suddenly rang. She looked and saw it was Victor, happily answering, "Victor, I bought a little thing..."

Victor paused on the other end of the phone and chuckled, "I heard. You spending just that little amount of money, the Kensington family must be furious, huh?"

Natalie couldn't help but laugh, thinking that Wendy and Angela probably won't have a good time tonight. "Well, the ring belongs to me now, so I won't easily let go."

Victor understood his sister's mood, she must be deeply disappointed in the Kensington family. Natalie finally found an opportunity, so of course she wanted to let off some steam.

Oh well. As long as Natalie is happy, nothing else matters.

The next morning, the sun was shining brightly. Natalie began to handle the company's affairs as soon as she arrived at the office, while Jessica recently started looking at her with hatred in her eyes, but also hesitating due to the leverage Natalie had. Jessica didn't dare to make any rash moves.

Aaron knocked on the door and came in to deliver some documents. "Ms. Clark, the company has started investigating Jessica for accepting kickbacks in the project."

Upon hearing Aaron's words, Natalie looked up at him. "Is Victor ready to take action?"

"Yes. Derek, who is behind Victor, has already started itching to get involved, so Mr. Clark said he couldn't bear it anymore."

If Derek is involved, Jessica would definitely be the first one to be investigated. She should already know that her own situation is precarious, no wonder she hasn't mentioned anything about being part of the Zorblax Group project team.

Natalie brushed away her stray hair from her ear. "Hand over what we prepared before, we can add fuel to the fire."

Those were also the words that Jessica said at Zach and Natalie's dinner.

"Alright." Aaron stood there, hesitated for a moment. "There's one more thing. Mr. Kensington's secretary from the Kensington Group called to say that Mr. Kensington wants to have a meal with you."

Natalie chuckled coldly, crossed her arms and leaned back in her chair, with a cold and indifferent gaze.

"Please tell him I don't have time. In the future, you can reject his invitations directly without asking me."

"Alright, Ms. Clark."

At noon, Natalie was about to go out for lunch when she heard a knock on the door. Aaron was standing at the door, holding a bouquet of flowers. "Ms. Clark..."

Natalie looked up, furrowing her brow. "Didn't I say to just throw it away?"
"Natalie, you really hurt me so much. These are the flowers I carefully picked for you, and not only are you not surprised, but you plan to throw them away without even looking at them?" Charlie stepped forward from behind Aaron and walked in angrily to question her.

Natalie paused and glanced at Aaron. Aaron lowered his head apologetically and remained silent.

Forget it. This must be Charlie's idea. Originally, Natalie was in the wrong, so she couldn't blame Charlie.

"You go out first," Natalie said to Aaron.

Aaron nodded, breathed a sigh of relief, and left.

Natalie rubbed her temples and smiled at him. "Mr. Walker, why did you come here today?"

"I came to have dinner with you, but I didn't expect such a big surprise from you," Charlie gritted his teeth and stared at Natalie.

Natalie smiled apologetically. "If I act like this at the company, others will talk about me."

"I sent you flowers just to let everyone know that you have a boyfriend."

He hoped that all the men who admired Natalie would stay away from her.

Charlie said it without hiding anything. Natalie felt rather helpless. "Charlie, don't waste your time on me."

"I'm willing to waste it. Whether it's a waste or not, I have the final say."

Charlie didn't really plan to be angry. He flirtatiously smiled at her and said, "It's your fault, so you have to treat me to a meal."

Natalie raised an eyebrow, picked up her purse, and planned to leave. "Fine, you choose the restaurant."

When they arrived at the restaurant, Natalie didn't expect to see someone she didn't want to see.

Leo sneered. "Natalie, didn't you tell me you had a major project? Did you refuse Gabriel's invitation just to go on a date with Mr. Walker? Victor, Rance, Charlie... you change men every day, so you seem quite busy."
