Chapter 285 I Want You
Before this, Natalie always thought Felix was just some broke adventurer.
If she had known he was Gabriel's nephew, she would've been nuts to say she'd support him for life.
She couldn't afford to support such a rich kid!
"I..."
Yves cut her off. "You guys trying to scam us or what? Just say it, we can handle the money."
What's $15 billion anyway?
Yves glared at Felix, frowning. "Where do you get off trying to mooch off our family? Supporting you would be a total waste."
Felix didn't care about Yves' attitude; he just smiled politely. "Yves, I'm young, strong, and obedient. Helping me won't be a loss. Besides, I can take care of myself. I just want to be with Natalie forever."
As soon as he finished, the room's temperature seemed to drop.
Yves turned and saw Gabriel's face, dark and stormy.
Yves let out a cold laugh. "Stop dreaming in broad daylight, will you?"
Hearing Yves and Felix about to argue, Natalie stepped in, "Enough, Yves. I did promise Felix before."
Felix's face lit up with a happy smile.
"But that was before I knew who you really were. You hid the truth from me, so my promise doesn't hold the same weight."
Felix's smile faded, his eyes dimming.
Thinking about how Gabriel said he was kicked out of the Kensington family, his days probably weren't easy.
"How about this, Mr. Kensington? I'll have Yves repay all the costs you incurred this time, including manpower and ransom, double."
This, of course, included Felix's share.
Natalie looked up at Gabriel, thinking this was the best way to show her gratitude.
But Gabriel's face only got darker after she finished speaking.
He stared at her with dark eyes, filled with complex emotions he tried hard to suppress.
He struggled to calm himself down.
The silence made the room's atmosphere kinda creepy.
Natalie bit her lip. Maybe this wasn't enough?
She tentatively said, "Of course, in the Hewston project, the Clark family can hand over all the shares."
This wasn't small change; it was a project that could be worth hundreds of billions, personally planned by Gabriel.
He knew its value best.
"Natalie, do you think this is what I want?" Gabriel spoke through gritted teeth, his gaze dark and deep, impossible to read.
Natalie frowned. This still wasn't enough?
Felix coughed on the side. "It's quite a lot."
"Shut up and get out!"
Gabriel seemed to find an outlet for his anger, which surged overwhelmingly, his eyes bloodshot and kinda scary.
Felix opened his mouth, wanting to argue, but he was truly intimidated by Gabriel's lifelong authority and could only leave dejectedly.
Gabriel looked at Yves, his gaze heavy but his tone as calm as possible. "Please leave as well."
Compared to scolding Felix, this was polite.
Yves snorted coldly. Why should he leave?
Gabriel was really too presumptuous!
"Why should I leave? I need to protect Natalie!"
Natalie paused. "Yves, please leave. We need to talk alone."
Yves frowned, wanting to insist, but Natalie's attitude was clear.
Fine, he'd listen to her!
Everyone else left, and the room fell silent again.
Natalie sat on the hospital bed, her face pale from the injury, but her demeanor was more gentle, still stunning.
The prolonged silence made her feel uncomfortable.
She was extremely uncomfortable being alone with Gabriel.
Finally, she couldn't help but look up at him, her face calm.
"Mr. Kensington, why don't you just say what you want?"
She still had a negotiating stance, but she had made many concessions on the bottom line.
Gabriel's expression was heavy, his gaze complex and restrained. How could he explain the emotions buried deep in his heart to her all at once?
Under Natalie's gaze, his voice was hoarse, low, and affectionate.
His attitude was humble to the extreme.
"I want you, Natalie."
