Chapter 189 Missed His Ex-wife
Charlie grumbled, "Mr. Kensington, what do you want?"
How could someone ruin such a romantic moment?
Even if it was Gabriel, he wouldn't back down!
Gabriel ignored Charlie, his dark eyes locked on Natalie.
The Patek Philippe watch in her hand sparkled.
Gabriel had never hated a watch so much; he wanted to toss all his Patek Philippes in the trash!
Natalie frowned, twisted her wrist, and pulled away from him.
She looked at him coldly and said, "Mr. Kensington, do you need something?"
Gabriel's lips tightened. Just as he was about to speak, Natalie cut him off.
"If you have something to say, say it later. This is Mr. Walker's birthday party, Mr. Kensington. Don't steal the spotlight, okay?"
She smiled and continued, carefully putting the Patek Philippe watch on Charlie. A satisfied smile spread across her face.
"Mr. Walker, happy birthday!" Natalie said.
Charlie raised his hand with the watch, flaunting it in front of Gabriel. "Thanks, Natalie. This is the best gift I've ever gotten. It's a keeper for life."
His eyes were full of deep affection as he looked at Natalie.
Natalie was momentarily stunned. Charlie's warm, passionate gaze left her with nowhere to hide.
But she couldn't ignore Gabriel's piercing, cold stare, heavy and oppressive.
She was celebrating Charlie's birthday, giving him gifts, playing the piano for him, not for Gabriel.
Watching this, Gabriel felt like a blunt object had pierced his chest, causing silent, unbearable pain.
He was in agony!
Within seconds, Natalie lowered her eyes and smiled, then looked up at Charlie, teasing him politely. "This one should be quite valuable in a few years, so take care of it."
Mia watched as Natalie stood between Charlie and Gabriel, but Gabriel showed no intention of leaving, his eyes fixed unblinkingly on Natalie.
What a love triangle!
She quickly walked over and pulled Natalie away, making up an excuse. "Natalie, come help me find my bag; it's missing."
Natalie caught on quickly and followed. "You're always so careless."
Gabriel watched her until she was out of sight, then finally looked away.
Charlie stood there with a half-smile. "Mr. Kensington, Natalie has no interest in speaking with you. Please refrain from appearing in front of her; you're quite the eyesore."
The temperature seemed to drop instantly. Gabriel's gaze turned dark and cold.
Gabriel scoffed, "Mr. Walker, if you don't want me to ruin your party, get lost."
He was domineering and openly disdainful. He wasn't here to celebrate Charlie's birthday. Did Charlie even deserve it?
Leo, who had been listening nearby, quickly stepped in and pulled Charlie away with a smile.
"Mr. Walker, don't mind him, that's just his temper. By the way, happy birthday," Leo said.
He led Charlie away and returned after a while.
Leo looked at Gabriel's cold, gloomy expression, his gaze fixed in one direction.
He smirked, "What are you looking at?"
Gabriel didn't respond.
Leo didn't give up. They'd been friends for so long, he knew Gabriel well. He snorted, "You're looking at Natalie, aren't you?"
Gabriel's eyes swept over him coldly. "Will you die if you don't speak?"
Leo laughed, seizing the chance to tease him. "Gabriel, are you really starting to miss your 'ex-wife'?"
Could he have misunderstood Gabriel's behavior?
Even if he felt guilty, there was no need to get so angry seeing Natalie celebrating another man's birthday and giving him gifts, right?
He was practically losing his cool as the president of Kensington Group!
Gabriel's eyes darkened, his breath hitched, and his voice was cold and piercing. "Leo, I haven't settled accounts with you yet, and you have the nerve to ask these questions?"
Who was it that confidently said Natalie's gift was prepared for him?
Who said Natalie would definitely attend his birthday party?
And what happened?
His birthday was just one day apart from Charlie's, and Natalie prepared everything for Charlie.
Not for him!
If it weren't for Leo's words, would he have had such high expectations?
After expecting this, he felt extremely disappointed and miserable.
Damn it!
