Chapter 22 Surrender
After Natalie posted the photo with her newly registered account, it quickly got shared by many celebrities. Public opinion started criticizing Leo, and this incident attracted the attention of many internet users.
Not many people knew about Natalie's new account. However, as the incident escalated, the number of followers on Natalie's new account skyrocketed, and Leo's secrets were exposed for everyone to see.
At the Kensington Group, Leo rushed into Gabriel's office and said, "Gabriel, your ex-wife is trying to ruin me!"
Gabriel looked up and gave him a cold glance.
Leo showed Gabriel the negative reviews from internet users and angrily said, "She wants to cyberbully me. It's outrageous. This is her true face. She's not a good person. Now, even my wife wants a divorce. Gabriel, you have to help me!"
Gabriel frowned as he looked at the comments on Leo's phone. After a while, he coldly said, "So, you were planning to cyberbully her, but she retaliated instead?"
Leo trembled and quickly explained, "I just wanted to teach her a lesson. Besides, I didn't know the video was edited. It was those paparazzi. They intentionally harmed me for money!"
Gabriel threw the phone on the table and said indifferently, "You brought this upon yourself."
"Gabriel, please help me. I was deceived by the paparazzi. Angela asked me to do this. If it wasn't for me helping her, she would be the one being criticized online."
Gabriel recalled the incident at the restaurant last time, and his expression grew even darker. He didn't expect Angela to still be unruly.
Leo begged desperately, but Gabriel coldly said, "You caused this mess, so you should solve it yourself. Can't you handle such a small matter with your capabilities?"
"The situation could have been easily resolved, but she got Jacob from Heggte Entertainment involved. That person is very cunning and refuses to take my calls. Now, no one dares to help me, and I'm being bombarded with insults from internet users."
Leo didn't expect that not only did he fail to teach Natalie a lesson, but he also suffered a big loss. He couldn't understand how that private party photo leaked.
"I hate you for exposing my secrets!" Leo shouted at Natalie as he showed her the photo. His wife, who usually listened to him, also insisted on getting a divorce.
Leo didn't care about divorcing his wife, but now the elders in his family wanted to kick him out because of this matter. He didn't have any other options left.
Gabriel glanced at him and said, "I advise you to go find the person who's seeking revenge on you."
"You mean Natalie?"
Leo had no desire to go find Natalie. He didn't want to bow down to such a hypocritical woman.
Gabriel didn't say anything more. His secretary came in and informed him that it was time for a meeting. Gabriel got up and left.
Leo felt frustrated and defeated as he walked away. He couldn't bring himself to read the comments from his online followers. His family kept calling him.
"Why should you care if I'm seeing several women?" Leo fumed to himself in the car.
He knew he had to resolve this issue as soon as possible. But he didn't want to apologize to Natalie.
However, he knew that if he didn't compromise, he would definitely be kicked out of the family.
After giving it some thought, Leo asked his company's staff to post a statement on his account, which had 800,000 followers.
"I wasn't aware that the video had been edited. I apologize to Ms. Clark for the trouble caused."
Leo admitted defeat. He knew that since Natalie had dared to mention his name directly, there must be evidence against him. Continuing to resist wouldn't benefit him.
He didn't rely on the entertainment industry and his fans for a living, so he didn't care about losing followers. He just felt embarrassed in front of his friends after apologizing like this.
At Clark Group, Kelly walked into Natalie's office with a smile. She shook her phone and said, "Mr. Dixon surrendered within two hours. I thought he was so formidable, but turns out he's a loser."
