Chapter98 Stick a Band-Aid
How could Natalie not see through Alyssa's disguise?
Perhaps she was just pretending. That bit of blood was meant to magnify fear and worry in the darkness.
She had already told them to get away, but they lingered, wanting to stage this drama.
She knew well that Alyssa just wanted to prove she was more important in Gabriel's heart.
When she got hurt, everyone had to revolve around her. What about Natalie?
Unfortunately, Natalie didn't follow Alyssa's script; she wasn't terribly upset or feigning strong, but she truly hurt Alyssa!
She was amazing!
Natalie chuckled lightly, turned, and started to walk out.
Yves nodded in satisfaction, not blaming Natalie at all. Instead, he praised her with a thumbs up, "Well done, this is the Natalie!"
In his opinion, Natalie was no longer the foolish woman who lived so humbly, trying hard to please others while completely ignoring her feelings.
A hint of fierceness flashed across Yves' handsome face as he glanced at Alyssa in Gabriel's arms, then at Leo, sneered coldly, left a remark, and walked away.
"Daring to covet Natalie's blood, don't you even consider if you are worthy of her?"
Alyssa, in pain, gritted her teeth, and her teeth started to chatter. The moment Natalie kicked her, her mind truly felt blank, too painful even to move; she thought she was really going to die. Natalie was truly ruthless. She thought that by doing this in front of Gabriel, she could show who was most important to him and make Natalie back off, but she didn't even spare a bit of mercy and dared to hit her.
And she did it in front of so many people!
Leo looked shocked when he saw Natalie and Yves leave. He turned to Gabriel and said, "How could they say such things?"
Mia, with a cold tone, impatiently urged the doctor to come quickly, hung up the phone, and looked at Gabriel and Leo. "Not coveting what doesn't belong to you is basic manner."
Sensing Mia's disdainful attitude, Leo shrank his neck, feeling wronged, too. Who would have thought that just a few words would provoke such a big reaction from Natalie?
Gabriel remained silent. His gaze was deep and complex, shimmering with mixed emotions. Nobody knew what he was thinking.
Five minutes later, the doctor arrived and took Alyssa to the sofa to examine her injuries. Angela took care of her on the side, witnessing the scene. She didn't dare say a word.
Alyssa tightly held onto Gabriel's arm, sobbing in a daze, looking miserable and pitiful.
"Doctor, how is she?"
The doctor paused, had his assistant clean the wound on Alyssa's forehead, and calmly spoke, "The external injuries are not serious. Just need a Band-Aid. As for the internal brain, she needs to go to the hospital for a CT scan for a detailed examination, but from the initial assessment, it's probably a mild concussion."
"A Band-Aid?" Leo couldn't believe it. "She just bled a lot. Shouldn't we do more checks?"
The doctor skillfully packed up without paying attention to him and walked over to bid farewell to Mia. Was this minor injury worth him running a few red lights on the way back?
He thought it was a matter of life and death. But the truth was that the wound would have healed on its own a little later!
Mia politely saw the doctor off, and the atmosphere fell silent for a moment. Mia returned, chuckled lightly, looked at Alyssa, and spoke gently, "You deserve it!"
It was originally nothing serious, but Alyssa just messed up, and it backfired. Who would have thought Natalie could strike back, really hurting her?
Alyssa looked pale, tears streaming down, crying out in pain.
Gabriel's eyes darkened. He let go of Alyssa's hand, handed her over to Angela, and then looked at Mia and said, "Thank you."
Mia was ungrateful. "No need. If you don't trust my doctor, find one of yours for a check-up. I have a lot of follow-up work to do, and I gotta go."
After saying that, she turned and left. Passing by Leo, she paused, glanced at him sideways, and pointed to her temple with her finger, her tone cold and mocking. "Mr. Dixon, having good values is a good thing; too bad you don't have them."
