Chapter 275 Lambs to the Slaughter

Natalie quickly shut down the idea of turning tail and running.

Getting shot in the back? No way, that’s just too unfair!

But if she didn’t run, what was she supposed to do?

The air was icy, the smell of gunpowder mixed with the salty sea breeze swirling around them.

Three pirates were closing in.

Felix was shaking like a leaf; clearly, this adventurer had never faced anything like this before!

Natalie wasn’t much better off, but as the pirates got closer, she found herself oddly calming down.

The three pirates were almost upon them, two of them big and burly.

The third one was shorter and skinnier, but his face was cold and sinister, and his hawk-like eyes were the scariest of all.

When he saw her face, his eyes lit up with a mix of surprise and greed.

Even though her clothes were a mess, her striking features were impossible to miss.

Noticing his stare, Natalie shot a fierce glare at the closest pirate, the short, skinny one.

The pirate sneered back, his eyes cold and dangerous, like a predator.

He whistled, his gaze becoming even more brazen.

The next thing she knew, the pirate had the barrel of his gun under her chin, forcing her to lift her head.

He looked her over like a prize, his voice dripping with malice as he joked with his buddies, "Check it out, this one’s not bad-looking. We’ve hit the jackpot this time."

They all laughed together, loud and arrogant!

Their eyes were like venomous snakes, practically licking Natalie’s neck.

This was their turf, and Natalie was just prey in their hands.

The pirates on the distant yacht watched the scene with great interest.

The tension was thick; everyone knew there was no way out!

Natalie’s body was rigid.

The howling sea wind stung her face, but it made her mind crystal clear.

Her fists clenched tightly at her sides.

She could still smell the gunpowder from the barrel under her chin.

It was a death warning.

As they laughed, Natalie suddenly reached out, grabbed the gun in front of her, and twisted her body, yanking it forward.

With her other hand, she pried the pirate’s fingers off with all her strength, hearing him grunt in pain.

His eyes showed a moment of disbelief.

This weak, disheveled woman dared to fight back?

In the next second, Natalie didn’t give him a chance to react. In a flash, the gun was in her hand.

She quickly turned the gun around and kicked the pirate to the ground, forcing him to kneel.

The other two pirates stopped laughing, watching Natalie with wary, angry, and ferocious looks.

Two guns were aimed at her, while Natalie’s gun was aimed at the pirate’s head on the ground.

In an instant, the situation flipped.

The pirates’ arrogance turned into cold tension.

Natalie sneered; they weren’t helpless lambs, and the pirates weren’t invincible wolves.

Felix, shocked by what he saw, quickly stood beside Natalie, helping to subdue the man on the ground.

Natalie gave him an approving nod.

The pirate opposite them cursed, glaring at Natalie with a cold, fierce look.

This damned woman!

Their guns weren’t just for show; they could fire any second.

"Are you looking to die? Let him go!"

Natalie’s gaze was icy as she struck the pirate on the ground’s head with the gun, sneering. "I want a helicopter."

"Dream on," one of them spat, calling her crazy!

Was she really threatening pirates on their own turf?

She was asking for it!

Natalie didn’t expect them to agree.

But with a bargaining chip, she suddenly wasn’t as scared.

Another pirate shouted towards the distance, and the people on the submarine quickly mobilized.

Their well-trained response carried a deadly intent, and countless gun barrels were soon aimed at Natalie.
