Chapter 317 She Wants to Change Teammates
The cave she saw wasn't on the map, and if it wasn't on the map, there must be something wrong.
Natalie used a stick to clear away the weeds covering the entrance, and Emily sensibly stepped forward to help.
Inside, it was pitch black, with water glistening on the ground, giving off an eerie and gloomy atmosphere. Even the smell inside was indescribable.
Natalie took a deep breath, carefully raised her flashlight, and walked in.
Emily looked around outside, pursed her lips, and hesitantly spoke.
"Natalie, there's no filming equipment in this cave. It probably isn't the place we're looking for. We shouldn't waste our time."
Her filming experience told her that places without directors and cameras were definitely not important.
Natalie walked ahead, her voice calm.
"Then you can wait outside."
She didn't insist.
Natalie's follow-up director had already gone in, leaving Emily and her follow-up director outside.
Emily frowned. Although she was extremely reluctant, she gritted her teeth and chose to follow in.
Just as she was about to catch up, Emily let out a scream.
Natalie turned around to see her kneeling on the ground, seemingly having twisted her ankle, sweating profusely from the pain, with tears streaming down her face.
Natalie quickly turned back, "What happened to you?"
Emily forced a smile, but the paleness on her face couldn't hide her pain.
"I twisted my ankle. I'm really sorry, I'm dragging you down."
Natalie frowned, "Do we need to contact the staff to send you back to rest?"
"No, I'm not going back. I can hold on."
Emily gritted her teeth as she spoke. Although the pain was excruciating, if she left now, she would really become invisible.
The hard-won opportunity would be wasted!
Before coming here, she had thought that Natalie's cold and aloof personality might be interesting to the audience once or twice.
But what the audience truly liked were people with high emotional intelligence. Only by establishing herself here and becoming a regular guest could she elevate her status and value.
She wasn't leaving!
Since it was her own choice, Natalie wouldn't make decisions for her.
Natalie looked around and found a thicker branch near the entrance, "Make do with this for now."
Emily took it, thanked her, and stood up with support.
Although the sharp pain from earlier had subsided, walking was still difficult.
Natalie stood up beside her. As soon as Emily took a step, she grimaced in pain, her leg buckled, and she almost fell.
Instinctively, she grabbed Natalie's arm. Natalie held her firmly, planning to let go once she adjusted.
But Emily misunderstood, thinking Natalie wanted to take care of her, so she didn't let go, hobbling along with her.
A determined look on her face!
Natalie pursed her lips in exasperation but couldn't push her away, so she let her hold on.
No way, she had to switch teammates!
The comments on the live stream were mixed:
[Emily is so dedicated, poor thing.]
[Did the two of them make up just like that? Ms. Clark has such a good temper!]
[Emily doesn't seem to be faking it. If she's really hurt, the crew should take care of her. Health comes first!]
The further they went, the darker it got, with a creepy and cold atmosphere.
Natalie didn't feel much at first, but Emily clung tightly to her side, almost hanging onto her, occasionally letting out a gasp.
And the follow-up director beside them was diligently capturing every expression.
After walking about 150 feet, they were met with complete darkness, with no path forward.
