Chapter 248 Lack of Manners
Natalie sat at the head of the table, barely glancing up from the documents in front of her.
Her slender fingers held a sheet of paper, her expression icy and dismissive.
"Perfect timing. Explain to me how that AI family doctor got plagiarized?"
Clara was momentarily stunned, but Mary was quick to respond.
"Plagiarized? This is something our company spent a fortune on, having experts at the research institute develop it. We've already got orders from over a dozen companies, and our sales have hit three to four hundred million dollars. Natalie, we can't pass up such a lucrative opportunity."
Natalie scoffed.
Signing a pre-sale agreement in advance would mean the compensation would be more than triple. They thought she wouldn't have the guts to stop it, which is why they went ahead with the deal.
"How could you sink so low to make such dirty money? Are you out of your minds?"
The room fell silent.
Everyone's eyes were fixed on the three of them.
Clara and Mary usually strutted around here with an air of dominance, and no one dared to challenge them.
It was rare for someone to confront them directly.
The satisfaction in the room was palpable.
"Natalie, hold your horses on the scolding. This was signed off by your Uncle Oliver himself. We're not part of the Clark family, but Oliver is, right?"
Clara snorted, clearly prepared for this.
A glint of triumphant scheming flashed in her eyes.
Natalie glanced at her sideways, a slight smile on her lips.
"I've already reported this to the police. Everyone involved, no matter their position, will face the consequences."
Before coming here, she had already discussed it with Ulysses.
The subsidiary in Jackarta was already in enough chaos.
It needed to be reorganized.
Upon hearing this, Clara stood frozen, looking at her in disbelief.
Mary was also shocked, clenching her fists tightly.
They thought that by involving Oliver, Natalie wouldn't dare to take action.
At that moment, hurried and heavy footsteps were heard at the door.
"What do you think you're doing, Natalie? Do you even acknowledge me as your uncle?"
Oliver's voice was filled with anger.
Looked like Clara's crew had filled him in on the situation, maybe stretching the truth a tad.
As if seeing her savior, Clara walked over and grabbed his arm.
"Oliver, you're finally here. It's one thing if she doesn't respect me, but now she's aiming to report you!"
Oliver glared at her.
"Natalie, what are you doing here? This is not your place to speak!"
Natalie's eyes were clear as she looked up, her voice calm. "The company here is suspected of plagiarizing the research results of the Clark Group and ApexCorp. This matter has already been reported to the police."
Oliver's face turned livid with anger.
"Reported to the police? This is a family matter; why report it to the police? What evidence do you have to prove it's plagiarism? In the business world, unclear patents are everywhere. Even if you go to court, without solid evidence, nothing will come of it! Do you really need to create such a fuss?"
Mary, unwilling to give up, echoed Oliver's words. "Yeah, Natalie, this all goes towards the Clark family getting richer. Why fight among ourselves? We just want a piece of the pie."
Natalie sneered, her gaze cold as she looked at them.
"You don't deserve this piece."
These words successfully angered Oliver.
"How dare you! Who do you think you're talking to?"
"Uncle Oliver, have you truly moved past Clara and Mary's cheating? You seem remarkably resilient to such deception."
Oliver's face turned red, and he slammed his fist on the desk in front of her.
The atmosphere instantly became eerily quiet.
Natalie's words carried too much information for everyone to process at once.
Natalie sat there calmly, watching Clara and Mary's faces turn increasingly livid.
She sneered inwardly.
Clara was the first to react, her face twisted with rage, not hiding her expression.
She began to hurl insults.
"Natalie, you're trying to sow discord. How dare you talk to Oliver like that? Was your lack of manners a result of losing your mother at a young age?"
