Chapter 106 Just Give In

Victor and Natalie looked in Ulysses's direction. Blair was really impatient; they had just gotten off the plane, and his call had already come through!

Ulysses sneered, "No need. My family is already in chaos; I'm not in the mood to go out for a drink."

Blair scoffed, "In the end, it's just because of a woman. What's there to be upset about? Besides, I need your help with something."

Ulysses advised, "Mr. Kensington, how about this: the Clark Group's anniversary celebration is in a few days. I'll invite your whole family to attend, and we can clear the air. Wouldn't that be better?"

Blair paused and then responded, "Alright, see you then."

Hanging up the phone, Ulysses's eyes were cold.

He cursed, "Those bastards from the Kensington family, just wait and see how I deal with them!"

Victor laughed and said, "I'll take these few days to sort out the company's shares, keep what needs to be kept, and leave a clean slate for Natalie."

Ulysses nodded and replied, "That sounds good. It'll save us a lot of trouble in the future."

Natalie sighed deliberately, "What should I do? I am about to have countless money?"

Ulysses paused, suddenly remembering something. "Speaking of which, the bank manager called me yesterday. He said Yves spent two hundred million dollars in one afternoon. It's not for investments or stocks, so it must be an unusual transaction. What's he up to?"

Victor couldn't help but laugh. "Dad, that money was spent by Natalie."

Ulysses responded, "Then I'm relieved."

If Yves knew about this, he would probably go crazy!

After Natalie got back, she received a call from an unknown number. At first, she thought it was a spam call, but it kept ringing, so she tentatively answered.

"Natalie?"It was Leo's voice.

She raised an eyebrow and asked, "Mr. Dixon, what's up?"

When Leo looked for her, it was usually not for anything good.

After less than two seconds of silence, Leo pursed his lips. "Natalie, I didn't take this opportunity to kick you while you're down. You can't throw me under the bus."

Natalie sneered and thought,'So he had moments of fear too?'

She sneered, "Leo, did you forget how you offended me that night?"

Leo's voice carried a hint of panic, yet he clung to his pride like a shield.

He explained, "It was a misunderstanding. I've deeply reflected on my actions. Just let me off this time."

It was the first time she heard Leo so scared. It seemed the nude photo had left quite an impact on him.

Natalie answered, "I'll think about it. Don't call me again; I don't want to hear your voice."

As she was about to hang up, Leo hurriedly spoke, "Wait, someone else wants to talk to you!"

Natalie paused for a moment, then heard a familiar, cool voice.

"Natalie, it's me."

It was Gabriel.

Hearing this voice, Natalie's expression changed slightly, and she chuckled, "What, Mr. Kensington wants to warn me too?"

Gabriel was stunned for a moment and inquired, "Did my grandfather contact you?"

Natalie scoffed, "Mr. Kensington set up such a big scheme just to stir trouble for me, didn't he?"

He should have known the answer!

"Natalie, just give in a little and hand over the stuff. I'll take care of the rest, including cleaning up the online mess," he then replied.

Natalie laughed bitterly, her eyes slightly moist.

Gabriel was silent.

"Gabriel, do you all think I'm an idiot?" Natalie couldn't help but mock coldly. Since they had already fallen out, she felt no hesitation in voicing her thoughts fearlessly.

"The Kensington family threw the dirtiest accusations at me, used the filthiest words to insult me, distorted the truth, and now you want me to be grateful to you? Don't you all have the shame?" she snapped.

The atmosphere was cold and oppressive.

Leo's voice came through the phone. "Natalie, this wasn't Gabriel's doing."

"So what? Isn't his last name Kensington? Is he innocent? Do the insults I endured today have nothing to do with him?" Natalie sneered.
