Chapter 388 Injuries
The news of Gabriel's accident quickly spread.
Blair was overwhelmed with grief and went to the hospital with Wendy.
Their expressions worsened when they learned that Gabriel had an accident while saving Natalie.
Blair, experiencing a lot, kept a calm face, merely sitting silently in Gabriel's room for a while. Eventually, unable to hold on, she was taken away.
Wendy, on the other hand, cried in his room for a full two hours.
Natalie sat quietly in the living room of the VIP suite, waiting calmly, listening to Wendy's indirect accusations.
"I told you to stay away from her. Every time she puts you to get into danger. Last time, you almost had an accident at sea, and now this. Gabriel, please wake up soon!"
Brad and Aaron looked at the composed Natalie with conflicted expressions.
She remained calm, seemingly unbothered by Wendy's veiled blame.
Ulysses and Victor arrived one after the other, both displeased by Wendy's hysterical outbursts in the ward.
Ulysses walked over and patted Natalie on the shoulder, "Don't be afraid, Natalie. Take your things and go home to rest for a bit."
Natalie's face was extremely pale. She hadn't rested since arriving at the hospital two days and one night ago.
Natalie lifted her head, her eyes suddenly reddening.
Her anxious heart finally settled.
Brad also stepped forward to persuade her, "Yes, Ms. Clark, the doctor said Mr. Kensington is in good health. This time, it's just a concussion and a leg fracture. He'll recover soon. You need to rest well first."
After all, if Gabriel saw her like this, he would be heartbroken.
Wendy heard the commotion and stormed out.
"How dare you think about resting? Gabriel is the one lying in there. Natalie caused him to end up like this, and she has the nerve to rest?"
Finally finding an excuse, she wanted to vent all her anger on Natalie.
Ulysses' expression instantly darkened, but given his status, it wasn't appropriate for him to argue with a woman here.
Victor, however, shot her a sharp look, his voice cold as a knife.
"Mrs. Kensington, it's true that Gabriel saved Natalie, but it wasn't Natalie who pushed him in front of the car. He risked his life to save her, and you're blaming Natalie?"
The cold aura surrounding him was intimidating, his lowered voice carrying an inexplicable threat.
Wendy choked. She ignored that the Clark family wasn't just any ordinary wealthy family. How could they stand by and watch Natalie be bullied?
They couldn't even tolerate a harsh word.
She opened her mouth, feeling extremely angry. Because of Natalie, Gabriel and she were almost at odds.
"You..."
Just as she started to speak, the doctor walked over, looking serious.
"The patient hasn't woken up yet and needs to rest quietly!"
He emphasized, looking exasperated.
He was just short of kicking everyone out.
Victor coldly curled his lips, "From the sound of Mrs. Kensington's scolding, it seems you only care about venting your anger, not Mr. Kensington's well-being?"
Wendy's expression turned livid with anger.
Just as she was about to retort, she saw the doctor's warning look and angrily sat down on the sofa.
Victor walked over to Natalie, picked up her broken phone from the table, and handed her bag to Aaron.
With his other hand, he pulled Natalie up, his voice firm and leaving no room for refusal.
"Let's go, go home first."
Natalie stood up with him. She glanced back at Brad, who understood and made a phone gesture.
Contact by phone if needed.
Natalie gave a faint smile.
