Chapter 422 Cannot Be Careless
Just as Jagger was sitting alone in the living room, feeling worried and heartbroken for Gabriel, he heard a noise at the door.
Gabriel was back.
Jagger rushed to greet him excitedly.
"Hey, Mr. Kensington! You're back! Even with your health like this, you still insist on going out to work yourself. You're something else. Seriously, you're the most impressive person I've ever met. You live up to your name, Mr. Kensington."
Gabriel had just dealt with Lonnie and was in a relatively good mood, but as soon as he heard these words, his face darkened.
Such a clumsy attempt at flattery, and he could say it so naturally?
Suppressing his anger, he spoke in a cold voice, "Is Natalie back?"
"Yeah, Mr. Kensington. I noticed Ms. Clark wasn't in a great mood today. Maybe you shouldn't go up to see her."
Gabriel gave him a deep, penetrating look.
That look made Jagger a bit scared.
He cleared his throat and quickly tried to make up for it.
"Ms. Clark went to a private party. It was like something out of a TV show. But honestly, without you, the party wouldn't have been the same."
Gabriel indifferently wheeled himself inside, not wanting to hear any more of his chatter.
What kind of person had he hired?
If it weren't for his special profession, this kind of person would have been fired long ago!
Before Jagger could finish his sentence, he ran over to help push Gabriel's wheelchair.
"But Mr. Kensington, I think you should be a bit concerned. Robert's not bad either, and his attitude towards Ms. Clark. It's quite special. You can't afford to be careless!"
At the party, he could feel that everyone both respected and feared Robert. His presence was on par with Gabriel's.
But such a man was gentle and humble towards Natalie, always helping her. How could Gabriel be careless?
Gabriel rubbed his temples, his tone unfriendly, "Got it. Go mind your own business."
He didn't take Jagger's words to heart at all.
Robert's special treatment of Natalie was because three years ago, on the streets of Eldoria, Natalie had saved his son.
Because of this, Robert would never plot against Natalie. Gabriel was sure of that.
As for feelings, his wife had died in the war. Could he forget her in just three years?
Gabriel was about to enter his study when he suddenly paused, changed direction, and wheeled himself to Natalie's room.
He knocked.
After waiting for a moment, she opened the door, wearing a face mask and crossing her arms.
"Mr. Kensington, you sure have a lot of energy, huh?"
Out all night and still coming to chat with her?
Gabriel's eyes lowered for a moment, then softened as he looked up at her.
"I have some good news that I couldn't wait to tell you. I believe you'll be happy."
"Found the culprit, Lonnie?"
Her voice was calm, without leaving any suspense.
Gabriel's gaze froze for a moment, then he looked at her with admiration.
"So you already knew. Smart."
"Sent him to the police?"
Gabriel smiled silently.
"No rush. Sending him now would be too easy. I want to dismantle his company step by step, make him watch his life's work crumble, and then send him in. Do you want to vent your anger?"
Natalie paused, "You've done everything that needs to be done. What anger could I have left?"
"Good, don't dirty your hands."
At that moment, Natalie could feel the cold, chilling aura surrounding Gabriel.
Gabriel's gaze fell on her.
Remembering Jagger's earlier advice, he didn't hesitate to praise her.
"Natalie, you're not only beautiful and smart but also kind."
Wouldn't any woman be delighted to hear that?
Natalie twitched her lips, looking at Gabriel helplessly.
"Yeah, so you're not worthy."
Talking nonsense late at night, could it help with sleep?
Gabriel, feeling dejected, went back to his room to sleep.
