Chapter 105 No Room for Discussion
Ulysses cursed all the way, still feeling unsatisfied. Just as they stepped out, they saw Victor striding towards them.
"Why are you here too?" Ulysses clicked his tongue.
"I was really worried, so I came to pick you up," Victor explained.
Victor reached out and took the luggage from Ulysses' hand, then looked at Natalie. "Be prepared. The reporters have already discovered your whereabouts. There are a lot of people gathered at the airport entrance."
Natalie snorted coldly, "I'm not afraid!"
Ulysses patted Natalie's hair, let out a satisfied snort, and protectively said, "Yes, just follow behind me."
He wanted to see who would dare to mess with them.
Victor was still worried about any unexpected incidents. He kept Natalie close, holding her hand as they walked out. As soon as they stepped outside, countless flashlights surged towards them. Natalie instinctively turned her head away, making it look like she was leaning into Victor's arms in the eyes of the reporters.
Just not long ago, the headline "Natalie and Yves Suspected of Living Together" and "Natalie and Victor Suspected of Meeting the Parents" caused a stir on social media.
"Natalie, are you dating Mr. Yves Clark? What's your relationship with him?" one reporter inquired.
Victor covered her eyes to shield her from the flashlights, holding her shoulder firmly as they walked out.
"Natalie, are you going to marry into the Clark family?"
"How do you feel about marrying into another wealthy family?"
"Natalie, with so many men around you, do you feel proud?"
"Natalie, is Mr. Walker one of your backups, too?"
The reporters threw a series of harsh questions toward Natalie, making those baseless rumors sound like undeniable facts.
"Mr. Ulysses Clark, what do you think about Natalie's negative history?" a reporter begant to ask Ulysses.
Of course, they didn't spare Ulysses, the head of the Clark family, as if his attitude could determine Natalie's fate.
Hearing those words, Ulysses' expression turned extremely grim. He walked forward with a stern face, not intending to comment at all.
Victor also remained silent. The bodyguards around them kept the reporters at bay. Natalie, dressed in a black dress and high heels, walked calmly without offering any explanation.
Facts will prove everything.
Suddenly, a water bottle was thrown from the side, hitting the back of Natalie's head. She shuddered in fear, and Victor turned his cold gaze in that direction.
"Aaron, find the person and call the police!" Victor stated.
"Yes," Aaron answered.
The bodyguards instantly heightened their vigilance, staying close and scanning the surroundings, giving no one another chance to throw anything. They quickly got into the car and merged into the traffic.
There were six other cars identical to theirs, and the prepared reporters quickly lost track of them.
Once in the car, Natalie finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Victor rubbed her forehead, looking at her with concern. "Does it hurt?"
Natalie shook her head and then replied, "It doesn't hurt anymore."
She was just startled.
Ulysses took out some red wine from the small fridge, poured half a glass, and drank it down.
He remarked, "The Kensington family has gone too far. Fine, if they dare to push my daughter, they can't blame me for being ruthless!"
Victor responded calmly, "It's time to show them some consequences, but there's no rush."
Natalie said, "Don't be angry, Dad. They're not worth it."
Natalie smiled, feeling a pang of bitterness. They didn't need to face these humiliations with her originally, but she was too foolish then, stubbornly trusting the wrong person.
She was just asking for trouble.
Ulysses patted her hair with a pained expression, sighing lightly. "It's good that you understand. It's never too late to turn back."
Natalie nodded, her eyes a bit moist.
As soon as they left, the scene at the airport became a trending topic among netizens.
One user comment: [Mr. Clark's expression says it all. It looks like he won't acknowledge Natalie. Her dream of marrying into a wealthy family is shattered!]
A second user asked: [How could Victor fall for such a vain woman? Is he blind?]
A third user remarked: [Her tactics are impressive. We should really learn from her.]
Suddenly, the phone rang.
Ulysses looked at his phone and answered with a stern face.
He asked, "Mr. Kensington, what's the matter?"
Blair advised, "Mr. Clark, I saw the news online. You've returned to the country. We should give you a proper welcome. How about a drink tonight?"
