Chapter 35 Lovers' Restaurant
Jessica's face turned pale, and at the same time, her body trembled slightly.
Natalie smiled and said, "Jessica, if I hand over these things, the company will thoroughly investigate all the projects you have handled. You will have no place in this circle anymore, and you might even go to jail. Are you really willing to give up your career for Fenden Group?"
She couldn't bear to.
Jessica's face turned pale, and a hint of fear flashed across her face. She immediately spoke in a respectful tone.
"Ms... Ms. Clark, I was rash. Fenden Group's project is not as good as it seems. The company is actually on the verge of bankruptcy."
Natalie nodded in satisfaction. "Then you should stop mentioning any cooperation with Fenden Group from now on, Ms. Cole. I recognize your abilities, but you should focus them on your own work instead of worrying about other companies."
"Ms. Clark, you're right." Jessica stiffened slightly.
After dealing with Jessica, Natalie still had to study Zorblax Group's project. She must secure this project. Other than Gabriel's Kensington Group, there was no other company that could compete with the strong background of Clark Group.
And as far as she knew, Kensington Group had no intention of getting involved in the field of artificial intelligence. So she was confident.
As the sky gradually darkened, Aaron entered with some documents. "Mr. Clark, the dinner with Zorblax Group has been changed to a business banquet. They have invited many people and plan to announce their project partners on the anniversary celebration. They have already sent VIP invitations. Should I reach out to them in advance?"
Natalie rubbed her temples. "Zorblax Group is confident. They know that their project is attractive, so you don't need to contact them in advance. Our terms are the best. We will attend the banquet on time."
Aaron nodded. "Alright, Ms. Clark. Do you need me to arrange a car to take you home?"
Natalie glanced at the time. It was indeed getting late. She was about to leave when she heard a knock on the door. Charlie stood there with a charming smile. He looked very handsome. "Ms. Clark, do I have the honor of taking you out for dinner?"
When she saw him, she couldn't help but smile. "Of course, I would love to have dinner with you."
Aaron tactfully stepped back.
Charlie walked up like a gentleman and helped her put on her coat while holding her bag. He seemed enthusiastic. "I've already gotten rid of our biggest obstacle, Henry. Today is our own little world."
Natalie glared at him. Charlie had always been carefree in his personality. He had flirted with every woman around him. So Natalie didn't take his words seriously at all.
"I'm really hungry. Where should we go eat?"
"A new couple's restaurant just opened in the south of the city..." Charlie hadn't finished speaking when Natalie glanced at him. So Charlie changed his words, "That's the one I opened. You should give it a try."
Natalie walked out in high heels, and Charlie swaggered behind her. His proud expression couldn't be concealed.
The restaurant was located on the top floor of a building. From here, one could enjoy a panoramic view of the city's beauty. Exquisite and dreamlike neon lights exuded luxury and excitement everywhere.
On the west side, couples danced gracefully to the music. The atmosphere was so captivating that it was hard not to be immersed in it.
Charlie rarely let his guard down. The music was very touching, it was her favorite song. She closed her eyes slightly. Suddenly, she smelled a sweet fragrance. She opened her eyes and Charlie was holding flowers in front of her. He smiled enchantingly.
"These are for you. It's your favorite lilies."
Music and flowers, truly a staple of a couple's restaurant. However, Natalie had no other thoughts about Charlie.
She smiled and casually took the flowers. Then, she put them aside, "Thank you. This couple's restaurant really lives up to its name, the service is on point."
Charlie was taken aback. Did she think this was part of the couple's restaurant package service?
These flowers were air-shipped by him from Resland. The soil was still damp. Did she think such an expensive service was available to everyone?
He shook his head helplessly. It's okay, he had patience!
After the dishes were served, Natalie didn't show much interest in admiring the scenery and listening to the music. She bowed her head and ate. Charlie eagerly introduced the preparation and origin of each dish to her. The atmosphere between them was still harmonious.
Natalie didn't care much about food. And as Charlie watched her eat, he became even happier.
"Did you receive the flowers I sent you?"
Natalie nodded, "Yes, I received them. Thank you."
Charlie's face stiffened, "That's it? Don't you want to know why?"
"Mr. Walker, why is that?" Natalie looked confused. Wasn't it just a whim of his?
"I'm pursuing you!" he hated her dullness!
Natalie responded, "Oh." She wiped her mouth politely, "I don't accept. Stop wasting your time and energy on me."
Charlie was furious. Did she just reject him so bluntly?
Did he have no dignity?
He looked at Natalie seriously, "We are no longer friends, I am your pursuer."
Natalie blinked, "Then let's end our friendship."
In the corner not far away, Leo couldn't help but sneer, "Look at those two flirting with each other. How did Mr. Walker fall for a woman like that?"
Across from him, Gabriel withdrew his gaze coldly. He looked down at the food in front of him and suddenly found it tasteless.
