Chapter 394 Your Room
Julia was startled, frightened by the fierce Elijah, and took a step back.
"Who are you?"
Elijah had no intention of introducing himself. He stepped forward, pushed open the door, and cleared the way for Natalie, his voice rough and loud:
"Ms. Clark, please."
Natalie walked in expressionlessly, not intending to catch up with Julia.
Moreover, she was still a spy for the old mansion.
Ignoring Julia's shocked and uneasy gaze, she walked straight in.
The sound of her high heels on the floor was crisp and pleasant. As soon as she entered the living room, she saw Gabriel sitting in a wheelchair, dressed in light gray loungewear. His face was somewhat sickly pale, but his facial features were sharply defined and noble.
His right leg was wrapped in bandages, and he looked somewhat helpless. The cold and stern aura around him was not as aggressive.
The moment he saw Natalie come in, his eyes lit up, and he tightly gripped the sides of the wheelchair.
Even his voice became gentle and restrained.
"Natalie, you finally came."
Natalie tugged at the corner of her mouth, casually glanced around, and her face stiffened for a moment.
The furniture and decor around were the same as when she left?
However, the cleanliness was still meticulously maintained.
She lowered her eyes and collected her thoughts.
"I'll take my things to the guest room first."
With that, she turned and called Elijah upstairs.
"Let Julia handle this kind of thing." Gabriel frowned and spoke. Did Natalie have to do such things herself?
His sharp eyes swept over the dazed Julia standing aside.
She immediately jolted and quickly ran over to take the suitcase from Elijah's hand.
"I'll do it, Mrs. Kensington. Your room has already been cleaned, and nothing inside has changed."
Elijah dodged her hand, not letting Julia succeed, his fierce expression twitching with a hint of threatening warning.
Julia awkwardly withdrew her hand and instinctively looked at Natalie.
But Natalie didn't even glance at her, giving Gabriel a cold, indifferent look.
"What do you mean?"
He still wanted her to sleep in her old room?
Gabriel pursed his lips, his expression gentle, "The guest room hasn't been cleaned in time. You should sleep in your old room. You have too many things; it's inconvenient to move them around."
Natalie didn't want to argue over a room. After all, it was just a matter of a few months.
She raised an eyebrow, "Fine."
Her easy concession noticeably brightened Gabriel's mood, a light smile spreading across his face.
Natalie headed upstairs, with Elijah following.
Julia hesitated, "Mrs. Kensington."
Natalie's steps halted instantly. She turned back, her gaze becoming cold and indifferent.
"Gabriel, I hope you can control your people. My coming here is based on mutual respect, with a bit of guilt.
If you dare to say anything out of line again, you'll just have to accept the consequences."
Mrs. Kensington?
Her bottom line was not to be repeatedly tested.
Her words weren't directed at Julia, but they felt like a slap in the face, cold and ruthless.
Gabriel's gentleness also shattered bit by bit, but he quickly restored it, smiling nonchalantly.
"I understand." His voice was light and pleasant.
As Natalie turned away, Gabriel's gaze darkly swept over Julia.
That look was even more chilling than Natalie's words.
Julia stood there, trembling all over.
What did she say wrong?
Didn't Natalie used to like being called Mrs. Kensington?
Back then, because the Kensington family looked down on her, Julia always called her "Ms. Clark."
For that, Natalie had a big fight with her, saying she was disrespecting her.
Reluctantly, she changed her address.
