Chapter 311 I Am the Sponsor
The staff on one side were frantically signaling, but those two D-list actresses were too wrapped up in their own drama to notice.
Natalie wasn't one to just sit back and take it.
She put down her phone, stood up, and turned around, her gaze icy and sharp as she looked at them.
Her voice was lazy, with a hint of indifference.
"I'm the sponsor of this event. If you have any issues with the seating, feel free to complain about me."
Honestly, if the complaint reached Jacob, she was curious to see if these two nobodies would still be around.
The two D-listers saw Natalie's face and heard her words, their expressions froze.
Under the lights, their heavily made-up faces looked even paler.
They stood up in a panic, their voices flustered from several rows away. "Sorry. We didn't recognize you, Ms. Clark."
Natalie rolled her eyes internally and sat back down.
She had thought about giving up this prime seat to someone else, but now she realized that a simple seat could reveal so many low-quality people. She wasn't going anywhere!
The two actresses wanted to come over and apologize in person, but before they could get close, they were stopped.
"Please return to your original seats, or you'll be asked to leave," Brad blocked them, struggling to keep his politeness and composure.
Out of the corner of her eye, Natalie noticed the light dimming on the seat to her right as someone sat down, bringing with them a faint, sharp fragrance.
She instinctively looked up and frowned immediately when she saw Gabriel. "What are you doing here?"
Her tone was full of disdain.
Gabriel felt a pang in his chest but kept a straight face. "I'm also one of the sponsors."
His voice was calm and gentle, almost making you want to get lost in his captivating tone.
But his words were infuriating.
Natalie, feeling stifled, turned her head away, completely ignoring him as if he were invisible.
Dominic sat down beside her from the other side, a pre-arranged seat. Given Dominic's popularity, sitting there made sense.
His clean, handsome face carried a light smile as he walked over under countless spotlights, without a hint of nervousness, his gaze pure and gentle, free from worldly desires. "Ms. Clark, Mr. Kensington."
Gabriel didn't even acknowledge him, but Natalie smiled and greeted him. "Come sit down, it's a bit colder today. Wasn't the red carpet chilly?"
Dominic smiled and sat next to her. "It was alright."
Natalie leaned over, holding a still from Dominic's latest show that she had just seen, discussing how the plot was developing.
She completely ignored the cold and gloomy Gabriel on her right.
She didn't notice that the surrounding atmosphere suddenly became much colder.
More and more people were arriving, and the award ceremony was about to start.
"Natalie," Gabriel suddenly spoke, tapping the armrest beside him.
Natalie turned her head to look at him.
Gabriel's deep, dark eyes were fixed on her, a flash of complex and restrained emotions passing through them.
By the time she tried to see clearly, Gabriel's eyes were only left with warmth.
His thin lips parted slightly. "You look beautiful today."
The surrounding chatter and greetings instantly fell silent.
This was a pretty ordinary compliment, but when Gabriel used it on Natalie, the atmosphere became strangely awkward.
Everyone stared at Natalie's reaction.
She lightly parted her red lips. "Turns out you have some taste after all."
