Chapter 230 Gabriel's Gift (Part 2)
Gabriel stood there, looking all noble and commanding. It was impossible to ignore him. The guy just had that natural leader vibe, making everyone pay attention wherever he went.
His eyes landed on Natalie. She was drop-dead gorgeous, and he'd seen it before, but every time, it hit him differently. This time, beneath his cool exterior, he felt a bit nervous.
When their eyes met, it was like the world stopped. No sounds, nothing. Just them. But after a few seconds, Natalie looked away.
Gabriel actually showed up?
After Ulysses finished his speech, everyone moved forward to wish Natalie a happy birthday. She handled it all with grace and elegance.
Kelly and Mia came over, and just as Natalie was about to catch her breath, she saw Gabriel heading her way. She was a bit surprised.
Gabriel reached her, and before she could say anything, he went straight to the point. "I've got three gifts for you. Do you want to see them?"
Gabriel was already the center of attention, and now even more eyes were on him. Behind him were three bodyguards, each holding a fancy gift box.
Natalie frowned. Her good mood vanished. Three gifts? Really?
People around started whispering, "Mr. Kensington is so generous."
Natalie gave a slight, disdainful smile. She wasn't excited about Gabriel's gifts. She'd rather throw them back at him. Was he so scared she'd refuse that he had to give them in public?
She looked at the boxes and bit her lip. Sensing the tension, Mia stepped in with a smile. "Let's see what's inside first! If Natalie doesn't like them, she doesn't have to keep them."
Kelly added, "Exactly." She leaned in and whispered to Natalie, "If they're valuable, we can sell them. Don't turn down money!"
Natalie lowered her eyes and smiled. "Alright, let's see."
Everyone gathered around, curious about what Gabriel had brought. Just the thought of his gifts was enough to get people excited.
Gabriel stood there, tall and calm, looking all aloof under the lights. Natalie walked over and casually opened one of the boxes.
Inside was a classic and grand diamond necklace. The large, light blue diamonds set in silver sparkled mysteriously, like they had a history of their own.
Natalie's eyes narrowed. She'd seen many diamonds, but this one was in a league of its own. Mia gasped, "Isn't this the Moon Eyes from the Valoria royal collection?"
Natalie was taken aback, remembering a photo she'd seen in a magazine.
The Valoria royal family had always kept this priceless piece in a museum, never letting it out. But a few years ago, a private collector bought it for a crazy amount of money. So that person was Gabriel? And now he was giving it to her?
"Natalie, does Gabriel need an ex-wife?" Kelly whispered, just loud enough for Natalie to hear. Kelly was eyeing the necklace, thinking she'd be willing to be someone's ex-wife for that!
Natalie shot her a cold look. "Are you sure? His ex-wife had to go through hell to get away."
Kelly backed off. "Never mind then."
Gabriel noticed their little exchange. He narrowed his eyes, but his expression remained impassive.
People around were still in awe of the "Moon Eyes." Such a rare piece couldn't be measured by money. Seeing it in person was a once-in-a-lifetime thing.
One of Gabriel's gifts was already mind-blowing! Natalie forced a smile. "Mr. Kensington, your gift is too valuable."
Gabriel's gaze was intense. His voice was calm, "It suits you."
Natalie was momentarily stunned. What did he mean by that?
Mia smiled and nudged her. "Next one."
