Chapter 386 You Miss Me This Much
Gabriel had already walked in leisurely, quietly watching Natalie's back.
The staff stepped aside; after all, it was Gabriel's first time inspecting the work.
Natalie had no idea who was behind her. She pursed her lips.
Before Kelly could speak, Gabriel's gentle and light voice sounded behind her.
"Did you miss me that much?"
Suddenly, Natalie's figure stiffened.
She immediately turned around, a hint of surprise on her face, followed by a look of impatience in her eyes.
"It's you again?"
"Are you that happy to see me?" Gabriel smiled at her warmly.
He thoughtfully looked at the mantis shrimp she had chosen.
"You just called my name."
Even though it was directed at a mantis shrimp, that mantis shrimp bore his name.
Indirectly, it was him!
Natalie sneered, "I was calling the mantis shrimp!"
Gabriel didn't argue; he would never admit it anyway.
Mike was enjoying the entire aquarium's treasures by himself, overjoyed.
He excitedly went to find Natalie, only to see Gabriel.
He walked over with a frown, looking at Gabriel with disdain.
"What are you doing here?"
Gabriel didn't want to bother with Mike.
Mike held Natalie's hand, smiling sweetly and acting cute, his big eyes pure and innocent.
"Natalie, I want to buy the blue whale from the next exhibit and bring it back to Novara. What do you think?"
Natalie frowned.
The blue whale was so long; planes and ships probably wouldn't work. Would it have to swim back on its own?
Before she could speak, Gabriel snorted coldly. "No."
Except for Natalie, he looked down on everyone else with a cold demeanor.
Mike crossed his little arms defiantly.
"Who are you to say no?"
There was nothing Robert couldn't buy.
Gabriel glanced at him indifferently and chuckled.
"Because this is my territory!"
Mike's cute little face was full of rich expressions, sometimes angry, conflicted. Finally, he snorted coldly and held Natalie's pretty hand.
"Natalie, let's go!"
"Plead me, and I'll consider it."
Gabriel suddenly spoke from behind, his voice tinged with playful laughter.
Mike paused, his mouth opening and closing, his expression conflicted and complex, his whole little face scrunched up, experiencing an immense internal struggle.
It was the hardest decision he had ever made in his life.
Even Natalie almost couldn't bear it; it was putting Mike in a tough spot.
The longer he dragged it out, the darker Gabriel's expression became.
Finally, Mike made up his mind, tightly clenching his little fists, gritting his teeth, his whole body tense.
He looked at Gabriel, his eyes showing defiance against this complicated world.
"I absolutely won't!"
He would rather give up his beloved blue whale than plead with Gabriel.
Natalie and Kelly couldn't help but laugh.
Mike was so principled.
But then Kelly's expression changed.
Luckily, she hadn't acted like Gabriel did, or she would have ended up just as humiliated.
Thinking of this, she no longer felt like laughing.
