Chapter 122 The Apology She Deserves
At this moment, the online news was overwhelming, with the prevailing trend pointing entirely to the Kensington family's bullying behavior.
However, the Kensington family did not respond to this storm, as making a statement too early would make them seem guilty.
In Kensington Villa, the lights were on all night, and except for Blair, no one inside dared to breathe loudly.
When the Clark Group's stock plummeted due to a scheme, it was Victor who single-handedly saved it.
But tonight's stock trend was already pessimistically affected by online public opinion.
Blair's face was extremely grim, and he was furious. Learning that Gabriel hadn't returned, he became even angrier.
"Where is he?" he asked the butler, his cane pounding the ground hard.
The butler replied nervously, "We haven't been able to contact Mr. Kensington yet. He's not answering the call, and his assistant, Brad, doesn't know his whereabouts either."
"Hmph, he still has the mood to wander around? He's been married to Natalie for three years and didn't notice anything wrong." Blair felt like his heart was about to leap out of his throat.
If he had known earlier that Natalie was the heiress of the Clark Group and a suitable match for the Kensington family, how could he have let her suffer in the Kensington family?
If he had known, he definitely wouldn't have allowed them to divorce. After all, this marriage alliance was a big deal that shook the entire business world!
And now?
They were left with nothing!
Not only did he offend the Clark family, but he also lost his treasured rare ring!
Thinking of this, he glared fiercely at Wendy and Angela standing nearby.
He scoffed, "You two brainless women, you can't accomplish anything but ruin everything!"
Wendy stood there aggrieved. "Dad, it was Natalie who deceived everyone. What does that have to do with us? Didn't you investigate her when she first married into the family?"
Blair snorted coldly and cursed, "Wasn't it you who took my rare ring out? How dare you speak?"
The thing that bothered him the most tonight was that his rare ring was just gone!
Wendy looked like she was about to cry, standing there not daring to say more.
Angela, also complicit, kept silent for fear of implicating herself.
In the oppressive silence, they heard the butler excitedly say, "Mr. Kensington is back!"
Wendy and Angela sighed in relief; he finally returned.
Wendy's eyes reddened. With Gabriel's dad, Patrick Kensington, on a business trip abroad, only Gabriel could protect her.
Otherwise, who knew how long Blair's anger would last!
Gabriel had really made a mess of things.
Blair picked up a valuable cup beside him and threw it at Gabriel's feet as he walked in. "You still know to come back?"
Gabriel paused, stepped over it, and glanced indifferently at Wendy and Angela before shifting his gaze away.
"Do you need something from me?" he spoke nonchalantly.
Blair, however, stood up in a rage, pointing at Gabriel. "You know nothing about Natalie? You married her and didn't notice anything wrong? I still don't know why you got divorced!"
The atmosphere in the air was tense; Blair hadn't lost his temper like this in a long time.
Gabriel looked up slightly, his expression indifferent. "I don't know. Didn't you all want me to divorce her?"
Otherwise, why did they treat Natalie like that?
Wendy paused, quickly giving Gabriel a look. "Gabriel, apologize to Grandpa. It was Natalie who deceived everyone. We'll figure something out when your father returns."
Gabriel coldly curled his lips. "By the time he returns, it'll be too late."
Blair snorted coldly, "So what can we do now?"
"Do as the Clark family says and apologize," Gabriel said.
