Chapter 453 Her New Love
Elijah's face was twisted with anger, his demeanor menacing as he followed them, casting a dangerous glance at Jagger.
If Jagger wasn't walking beside Natalie, he would have been a goner by now.
Natalie's phone kept buzzing with notifications.
She took a moment to glance at it.
It was Kelly.
[Why haven't you replied to my messages? Are you really with Robert?]
Natalie didn't respond, surprised to see over two hundred unread messages and notifications.
What the heck?
Why was everyone asking about Robert?
Charlie: [Are you with Robert? Are you ready to be a stepmom? I want you to be happy, but maybe you should consider Gabriel!]
Mia: [Robert's not bad, but don't take it seriously! Older guys can't compare to young hotties!]
Victor: [Money is king. Who cares about feelings?]
Kyle: [Rain not only poses a risk of illness, but wet clothes can breed bacteria. From a physics standpoint, your clothes' material is softer, making it a breeding ground for germs.]
Violet: [Natalie, you look gorgeous!]
Natalie frowned as she read through the messages, feeling exasperated. What did one photo prove?
Just then, Kelly called.
She answered it casually.
"Natalie, is it true? Are you really into Robert? I mean, Gabriel's not great, but isn't being single better?"
Natalie couldn't help but laugh, raising an eyebrow as she walked.
"It was just one photo. You guys are reading too much into it."
"What? So it's not true? Then why were you two together? I thought you were trying to make Gabriel jealous!"
"There are plenty of ways to make him jealous. Why would I sacrifice myself?"
Kelly nodded, relieved.
"Okay, that's a relief. But everyone thinks you're with Robert. Honestly, Robert's not bad either, almost as good as Gabriel, except he has a kid."
"That's not happening. Stop spreading rumors. I'll delete the photo to avoid more drama."
"Got it. I'll spread the word and tell everyone to shut up!"
Kelly laughed, "But seriously, you two looked so good together in that photo. Even a TV drama couldn't capture that vibe. Robert's pretty handsome, too. Dating someone like him wouldn't be so bad, right?"
Natalie chuckled, "Want me to set you up?"
"No way, I couldn't handle a guy like that." Kelly didn't even dare to think about it, lacking the confidence.
If someone as smart as Natalie could be tormented by Gabriel, Kelly figured she wouldn't even know what hit her.
She'd better stick to finding a good family to marry into.
"But why did you agree to go on a trip with Gabriel? He's clearly up to no good."
Kelly was curious.
Natalie replied, "My dad wanted to come, so here we are. Besides, we have billion-dollar projects at stake. No need to make things ugly."
Kelly was helpless.
She suddenly felt her perspective had been completely shattered.
She'd been thinking about everything from a romantic angle—how shallow!
People could make peace for the sake of money!
Kelly realized she'd been worrying for nothing.
Relationships like theirs didn't come easy; every photo reeked of money.
She sighed, "Alright, Natalie, I'm hanging up. I just realized how big the gap between us is. I need to work hard and get rich!"
She needed some comfort.
Natalie replied, "You should've realized that sooner."
