Chapter 452 Come Back

The photo popped up on Gabriel's phone.

The moment he saw it, his face turned to stone, and his eyes grew colder and darker.

In the misty rain, the two people in the photo looked stunning, effortlessly drawing attention.

They shared a smile, full of mutual understanding.

The connection in their eyes was undeniable, carrying a hint of regret for not meeting sooner.

Since when did they get so close?

Gabriel's jaw clenched, looking seriously pissed.

After a long pause, he moved slightly and called Jagger.

"Mr. Kensington, missing Ms. Clark? She's doing great and wanted me to send her regards!"

A few seconds of silence.

Jagger sensed something was off.

Gabriel finally spoke, his voice icy.

"Jagger, do you think I'm an idiot? Do you want to end up at the bottom of Serenity River?"

"Mr. Kensington, what's wrong? What did I do?"

Jagger suddenly felt a wave of panic.

Did Gabriel already know about Ms. Clark meeting Ian and Robert?

Gabriel let out a cold laugh but said nothing more.

This was his final warning.

Jagger gritted his teeth. "There was a small hiccup, but everything's under control. That perfume-loving Ian is gay!"

Gabriel's eyes darkened slightly. He thought, 'An unexpected piece of information.'

"I only found out later that he's a guy, but I checked him out. He doesn't hold a candle to you, and there was no physical contact between them!"

Jagger quickly explained, sticking to the facts.

Gabriel's voice remained cold and indifferent, yet dangerously low.

"And the other one?"

So Gabriel did know.

Jagger closed his eyes briefly, looking at the two people walking ahead.

They did make a perfect pair; no wonder Elijah approved.

But if it were Gabriel, it would look even better.

"Mr. Williams, he might have run into her by chance. But don't worry, Mr. Kensington, I've been with Ms. Clark the whole time. She even mentioned Mr. Williams' late wife, which must have been unpleasant."

He rambled on with his explanations and opinions, while Gabriel's breathing gradually steadied, though he grew impatient.

"Alright, just make sure to protect Ms. Clark."

"Of course!"

"Come back soon."

Gabriel hung up, feeling uneasy. He opened his chat with Natalie and clicked in.

It was completely blank.

Not blocked, just restricted from viewing.

So, he couldn't see anything.

His chest felt tight and uncomfortable.

Natalie, seeing she had time before meeting her classmates, decided to buy some gifts.

She stepped out to the intersection, glancing at Robert.

"Mr. Williams, if you have other matters, please go ahead."

Robert frowned. "Aren't you going back to the castle?"

"I need to buy gifts this afternoon and attend a class reunion tonight."

Robert nodded in understanding. "I have a client to meet as well. Goodbye then."

They parted ways politely, without any fuss.

As soon as Robert left, Jagger eagerly approached, holding an umbrella over Natalie's head.

"Ms. Clark, your beautiful hair mustn't get messed up. Where to next?"

Natalie gave Jagger an exasperated look but said nothing, walking straight ahead.

She knew the area well and headed straight to the shopping mall without needing a map.

Jagger's spirits lifted. This was his chance to shine.

Throughout the trip, Jagger offered suggestions for the gifts, and Natalie went from being annoyed to genuinely appreciating his help. She thought to herself that if Jagger were in sales, he'd be a millionaire by now.

Elijah followed behind, carrying numerous bags, his demeanor cold and fierce.

Jagger didn't forget to urge him, "Hurry up, Elijah! Just a few bags and you're already struggling?"
