Chapter 414 She Only Looks at Appearance

Gabriel ate his breakfast slowly, his movements elegant and refined, almost like a work of art.

But his words carried a hint of coldness.

"I'm just teaching her how to be a decent person as quickly as possible."

Natalie frowned, confused.

Gabriel patiently explained, "When she used to boss people around, she probably never thought she'd end up like this. She needs to learn her lesson."

Natalie raised an eyebrow, instantly understanding.

But this kind of punishment seemed too harsh for Angela, who had been pampered since childhood, unlike ordinary people who had to fend for themselves.

Natalie couldn't help but sigh inwardly. Gabriel was so ruthless to Angela; it was clear that his apparent weakness couldn't be trusted.

On the other hand, considering Angela's privileged background, the Kensington family could easily support her for life. Gabriel's actions likely stemmed from some genuine feelings for her.

Natalie quickly finished her meal and headed to the office.

The empty house was left with only Gabriel and Jagger.

Jagger's eyes sparkled as he looked at Gabriel, excitedly asking, "Mr. Kensington, did everything go smoothly last night?"

Gabriel's mood soured at the mention of the previous night's events. He couldn't even finish his meal.

His gaze turned icy as he shot a cold look at Jagger, snorted, and wheeled himself back to his study.

Clark Group.

Natalie had Aaron contact Robert to finalize the cooperation framework as quickly as possible. Then she reached out to Nathan from ApexCorp to handle the remaining details.

To avoid constantly running into Gabriel, Natalie decided to personally oversee the project.

The three parties involved in the cooperation chose ApexCorp as the negotiation venue.

Further details would require some time to iron out, and Robert wanted to take the opportunity to tour ApexCorp's research department.

Natalie arrived early to prepare for the afternoon meeting, bringing along a new project assistant, Dax.

She chose Dax from a pool of candidates because he was a recent graduate still in his internship period, with no background that could sway him.

His straightforward and honest demeanor, coupled with his lack of ambition and greed, made him the perfect fit.

Most importantly, he would cherish the opportunity to prove himself, making him ideal for this project.

Nathan had prepared a temporary office for them, and Natalie and Dax immediately started coordinating with Robert's team.

The meeting was scheduled for 3 PM.

Nathan noticed Dax behind her and raised an eyebrow. "Aaron didn't come?"

He assumed Natalie wouldn't entrust such an important project to anyone else, especially a newcomer.

Natalie replied, "He has other matters to attend to. This is my new assistant, Dax."

Nathan nodded. "Gabriel has shares in ApexCorp, so Kensington Group will have representatives at the meeting."

She expected this and calmly nodded.

Since Gabriel was recuperating at home, it was unlikely he would attend in person.

There was a knock at the door. It was Robert.

"Ms. Clark, Nathan, hope I'm not interrupting?"

Natalie smiled, "Welcome."

Her words trailed off as she noticed the bouquet of chrysanthemums in Robert's hand, her expression instantly becoming stiff and complex.

Nathan was also slightly taken aback.

Robert exuded a mature and mysterious aura, his dignified and aloof demeanor clashing with the somber chrysanthemums he held.

What was he planning?
