Chapter 33 Did she forgive him?
In front of Natalie stood a strong and well-built figure, with a handsome face. It was Gabriel Kensington, the man she had been infatuated with for three years. When Natalie suddenly saw him, she was briefly stunned. But soon, she regained her composure.
Why was he here?
Probably just a coincidence.
She couldn't possibly deceive herself into thinking that he had always been paying attention to her and waiting to save her.
"Mr. Kensington?" Zach stood up in a panic. He looked meek and nervous.
Gabriel's face darkened. He stared at Zach's face menacingly. "Do you want to die? I can make it happen!"
Suddenly, an uncontrollable anger surged from within him. His expression turned icy and intimidating.
He was about to step forward to admonish Zach when a figure appeared behind Zach. They kicked Zach, who had just stood up, to the ground. Then, punch after punch landed on Zach's face and body... Zach was injured all over.
"Charlie!" Natalie called out to the person.
The person who was hitting Zach paused for a moment. When he turned around, his cold expression instantly warmed. "I went to the company to find you, they said you were here. I wanted to give you a surprise."
Charlie casually walked over. He ignored Gabriel's presence and handed the flowers that were placed at the door to Natalie. "Do you like them?"
Natalie sighed helplessly. Although her plan was disrupted, she already got what she wanted. So, her plan couldn't really be considered a failure.
"Thank you. If you keep hitting him, he'll end up dead. I don't want any trouble," she said.
"As you wish, my queen," Charlie smiled and said. "I'll spare his life then."
Zach looked fearfully at the people in front of him. He couldn't afford to offend either Charlie or Gabriel. Didn't everyone say that Natalie and Gabriel were divorced? Why would he still get involved?
As soon as Zach heard Charlie's words, he endured the dizziness and panic and fled. He didn't want to get into trouble with these two big problems.
However, before he could escape, something hard was thrown at his head. Then, the car keys fell on the ground.
Charlie mocked coldly, "Take this. Don't stain my girlfriend's eyes."
"Yes." He hurriedly ran out.
Natalie was speechless. "Stop talking nonsense."
When did she become his girlfriend?
She looked at Gabriel with some confusion. He looked at her with a cold expression.
"Mr. Kensington, what are you doing here?"
"Yeah, I'm curious too. Mr. Kensington, why are you here?" Charlie looked at him with obvious scrutiny.
"Natalie, don't you know to be cautious of drinks? Why do you attend every dinner party? Is this the life you want?"
His sarcasm was evident. She was here, accompanying someone else for a meal. Yet, she was drugged and unaware. Was this the life she wanted after the divorce?
For some reason, Gabriel couldn't contain the anger that burst forth in that instant.
Natalie looked down and smiled. She thought he would be kind enough to help her. Turns out, he was just using an excuse to sermonize.
She looked up at him. Natalie was wearing delicate, light makeup. Her eyes were bright.
Under his shocked gaze, she picked up the glass on the table and finished it in one gulp. Then she stood up with a smile, "Mr. Kensington, thank you for helping me. I've already switched the drink. But I must say, you have no right to judge what kind of life I want."
It was not his place to lecture her.
Just as she was about to leave, Gabriel grabbed her arm. His expression was icy cold, "What do you mean? You haven't answered my question yet."
Natalie smiled and then spoke seriously, "There are some things I don't say to save face for both of us. Mr. Kensington, I am here for work. I am better off now than when I was groveling as a servant at the Kensington Villa. Actually, what's the difference between the Kensington family and Zach?"
