Chapter 204 Why Invite Me
Natalie sneered, mocking Lillian's childishness and stupidity. She grabbed Kelly's arm and strutted out in her high heels.
Outside, the sun was shining brightly, and the sky was clear. It was a rare good weather day. The gloom in her heart began to lift.
As soon as Kelly stepped out, she huffed, "Lillian's great at business, but she's brainless. No wonder no one dares to pursue her."
Natalie smiled.
When the Garcia family first faced their crisis, some people eyed the family's assets, thinking they could use Lillian to get them. But they didn't expect Lillian to single-handedly support the Garcia family.
She didn't give anyone a chance. Her style in the business world was ruthless and decisive, straightforward and efficient.
She was willing to do whatever it took to achieve her goals within legal bounds. This uncompromising attitude left few who genuinely liked Lillian.
Natalie looked down and smirked. "Looks like she's here for Charlie this time."
Kelly had a regretful look, saying, "Charlie won't go for a woman like her. She's wasting her time."
Natalie raised an eyebrow. "Not necessarily."
How could Lillian be wasting her time?
Kelly was about to ask why when a car slowly pulled up in front of them. A Range Rover.
The rear window rolled down, revealing Gabriel's cool and handsome face.
"Get in," Gabriel ordered, his eyes locked on Natalie. His voice was rich and commanding.
Natalie hesitated for a moment, then a flicker of impatience crossed her face as she looked away. Without a word, she grabbed Kelly's arm and started walking off.
Everything today had left her speechless; she felt like she should just go home.
"Natalie, do you want that piece of land?" His voice suddenly rang out.
Natalie paused, turning her head slightly to give him a sideways glance. "What do you mean?"
Wasn't that piece of land already given to Gabriel? For five million dollars, she had no idea what he was thinking.
But Kensington Group was wealthy and powerful; they could recoup the costs quickly.
Gabriel fixed her with a serious gaze. "You could work with me. By partnering on this project, the Clark Group could slash costs by two-thirds."
Natalie's smile turned disdainful. "Of course, my profits would take a hit too. Such a small sum isn't worth my time and effort."
'He still wants to cooperate with me? After all, Gabriel had already brought Lillian into the mix. Who knows what agreement they had reached?' she thought.
It was truly puzzling. Kensington Group could easily bear those costs. Why would Gabriel be willing to share the profits? It was hard to understand!
Just as Natalie was about to leave, Gabriel spoke again, "Natalie, do you think a piece of land is worth my effort?"
"Surrounding that land are research institutes and educational research facilities. If we unlock the full potential of that land, the surrounding area could become a goldmine. Do you still believe this is just a battle over a piece of property?" His voice, though cold, carried a tone of patience.
Stepping out of the car, his tall frame cast a shadow over Natalie. Observing the shift in her expression, he felt a sense of satisfaction wash over him.
"In less than five years, this place will become the economic, research, medical, and educational center of the entire city. Don't you want to be a part of it?" he added.
Natalie's hands clenched tightly, suppressing the excitement in her heart. What he said was tempting. It was definitely not just the value of a piece of land.
It was about the potential for every inch of that land to be as precious as gold. This region could potentially evolve into the Silicon Valley of all Lumeria. Prosperous and thriving!
But she hadn't let joy cloud her judgment. Raising her eyes gently, she furrowed her brow at him, her expression one of puzzlement.
"I don't understand, why would you invite me to such a flawless plan?"
If Gabriel did it alone and succeeded, he could leave Clark Group far behind. At that time, the Clark family would be insignificant in his eyes. Why would he do this?
