Chapter 185 Deducting Bonuses
Gabriel and Leo got up and walked over together. There was no one at the entrance.
Leo snapped, "What are you yelling about?"
He scolded the person who had caused the commotion and spread false information. The guy hesitated, saw Gabriel's stern face, and gave an awkward smile.
He pulled out his phone and said, "My friend just sent me a video of Natalie playing Texas Hold'em with them, and she's winning big."
Before he could finish, his phone was snatched away. Gabriel opened the video, and sure enough, several men and women were gathered around playing Texas Hold'em. The table was covered with chips, car keys, diamonds, and even gold bars, showing how intense the gambling was. It was way more exciting than this birthday party!
Everyone was dressed to the nines. Natalie's gray-blue limited edition gown, adorned with pearls, made her stand out even more, making it hard to look away.
Charlie and Mia were around her, chatting and laughing. Natalie sat there, radiant and beaming with joy.
"Where is this?" Gabriel's voice was icy.
The guy quickly responded, "It's a newly opened bar."
Gabriel's breathing grew heavy. So, she had stayed in the country, and she didn't have urgent matters. She'd rather play Texas Hold'em than attend his birthday party.
Brad happened to walk by, and Gabriel glanced at him, tossed the phone back to the guy, and coldly said to Brad, "Dock your bonus."
Brad was devastated.
At Gabriel's birthday party, everyone else was having a great time except for Gabriel himself. No one knew why Gabriel left midway.
He couldn't control himself and drove to the newly opened bar. By the time he arrived, Natalie had already left. He sat back in his car, feeling a heavy discomfort in his chest.
The cigarette between his fingers flickered and eventually was blown away by the wind.
Until midnight, his phone was flooded with birthday wishes, except for hers.
This birthday was truly meaningless.
Coincidentally, the next day was Charlie's birthday.
Charlie's party was unique, held right in the estate within the villa district. He lavishly invited the elite of Rottloe, and the scale was shockingly extravagant.
Natalie wore a dark green strapless gown, simple yet elegant, making her skin look even fairer and more radiant.
Her butler, Gary, nodded in approval when he came to pick her up. "You look stunning today."
Natalie smiled and said, "Of course."
She glanced at the car behind him. Whenever Gary wasn't driving, he would use his own car. As far as she knew, Gary had over a dozen cars.
"Is this a new Porsche? Why isn't it the latest model? Is my dad being stingy?" she asked.
Gary smiled helplessly, polite as always. "Of course not. Mr. Yves Clark said I shouldn't drive the same model as him, so I had to get a classic one."
Natalie blinked. "Just ignore him. Yves is so unreasonable!"
Gary smiled and opened the car door for her. "Please get in. I'll take you there."
She also took the gift Ulysses had prepared for the Walker family.
When they arrived, they saw many socialites, and the estate was decorated with understated luxury. Natalie was somewhat shocked. This was beyond the scale of a birthday party.
"It's just a birthday. Why is Charlie so extravagant?" Natalie remarked.
Gary smiled, got out to open her door, and explained, "This is probably Mr. Walker's idea. He's using this opportunity to find a girlfriend for Mr. Walker."
No wonder! Natalie was secretly surprised and thought it made sense.
Mia called out, "Natalie!"
Mia waved at her, and Natalie saw her immediately, smiling as she walked over.
"Where are they?" Natalie asked.
"They're all inside. I came out to get you," Mia replied.
Natalie waved to Gary and went inside with Mia. They hadn't walked far when a familiar voice made her stop.
"Ms. Clark, aren't you quite charming? Why is the man with you this time an old man?"
Natalie turned her head. It was Layla, who had been with Hannah that day.
