Chapter 382 Take It or Leave It
Joe was the kind of person who didn't contribute much to the company.
He took a big risk once, failed, and keeping him around would only have a negative impact on the company.
If everyone were to gamble their future like Natalie, who knew if they'd be as lucky?
So she won't let Joe and Billy off the hook.
Joe's expression looked grim and panicked as he glanced at Victor.
"Ms. Clark, we were thinking of the company. Billy and I were trying to secure this project for the company. Now that you've got the project, we're happier than anyone."
Victor looked at Joe with a cold gaze.
"So, you're planning to stick around?"
As soon as she said that, the atmosphere in the conference room turned icy and tense.
Everyone's eyes felt like needles piercing Joe's face, burning with shame.
Joe didn't want to leave so easily.
But Victor's words left no room for negotiation.
Joe hesitated, then looked at Victor and Natalie, who showed no intention of keeping him.
He gritted his teeth, "What do you mean by sticking around? I'm a shareholder of Clark Group. If I leave, it has to be with Mr. Clark's consent, right?"
A sly smile flashed in Joe's eyes.
Natalie raised an eyebrow and smiled.
"Alright, that's fair."
She took out her phone and, in front of everyone, called Ulysses without hesitation.
Joe's expression stiffened slightly, and he felt a pang of anxiety.
"Natalie, I'm fishing at noon. Are you coming back for lunch?"
Ulysses's voice was relaxed and cheerful, with the sound of a gentle breeze in the background.
Natalie couldn't help but smile, "Dad, we're in a meeting. We were just talking about Joe losing his bet. A shareholder leaving the company needs your consent. We all want to hear your opinion."
She casually glanced at Joe, a slight curve forming at the corner of her mouth.
Joe's expression visibly tensed up.
"Mr. Clark..."
Before he could finish, Ulysses's voice came through the phone, reaching everyone's ears.
"Natalie, since the company is in your and Victor's hands, you two make the decisions. I respect every decision you make. Whatever you decide, I'll sign off on it."
After he finished speaking, the conference room fell silent, and countless eyes turned to Joe.
Those who wanted to plead for him wisely kept their mouths shut.
Joe's face turned pale, and his lips began to tremble.
Natalie smiled, "Alright, Dad, we'll handle the rest. Enjoy your fishing."
With that, she hung up the phone.
Ulysses never wavered on important matters, always standing on the same side, leaving no room for others to exploit.
Natalie looked up at Joe, her eyebrows slightly raised, smiling nonchalantly.
"In that case, Mr. Nelson, I'll have the HR department start the process. Just cooperate when the time comes. As for your shares, if you're willing, you can sell them to the company. If not, just keep them for your retirement."
She said this while standing up, leaning on the table.
"I have other matters to attend to. You all continue."
She glanced at Victor, who nodded, before walking out.
As soon as she stepped out, she received a call from Mike, who was anxiously waiting at the company entrance.
Kelly happened to come by too, in a bad mood, planning to go shopping with Natalie.
Who would have thought she'd see a kid sitting at the entrance of the Clark Group, drawing circles on the ground, holding a big bouquet?
