Chapter 158 Make It up to Her
Natalie frowned. She thought, 'Why is Gabriel reacting so strongly? What does my injury have to do with him?'
"Mr. Kensington, let me handle this," said Kyle.
In the standoff, Kyle reached out, took Natalie's arm back from Gabriel's hand, and gently rubbed the part that had turned red from Gabriel's grip.

Kyle asked, "How did you get hurt?"

He thought to himself, 'Do I fall in love with her? Probably not.'
He couldn't say for sure if this focused concern were love. But in front of others, he didn't want to admit to any feelings beyond guilt.
After all, he and Natalie weren't even friends now!
His answer was clear and resounding, and Natalie heard every word. It was like a stone, heavily hitting her heart.
That indescribable bitterness and heaviness pulled her back to the feeling before the divorce.
It was suffocating, painful, and despairing!
She lowered her eyes slightly, hiding the hurt in them.
