Chapter 112 Are You Ashamed?
Gabriel couldn't understand why he felt so restless and irritable and why Natalie still have the mood to show up in this situation.
He thought, 'Does she still hold any expectations for Victor? Can't she see that everyone treated her like garbage, avoiding her like the plague?'
He found the flowers in her hand were particularly eye-catching.
He looked at her with a dark expression, his voice tinged with agitation. "Whatever you plan to do, you'd better not choose today. Everyone is watching you. If you really do something out of line, even I won't be able to protect you!"
Otherwise, it wouldn't just be Blair dealing with her; the entire Clark Group would be involved.
Natalie laughed out loud, her eyes filled with coldness.
"When has Mr. Kensington ever protected me? You're just afraid of being associated with me and dragging the Kensington family down with you, right?" she sneered.
The fact that she was now a pariah was all thanks to the Kensington family, wasn't it?
Gabriel had the nerve to say such high-sounding words here. Did he really think she was a fool?
Hearing her words, Gabriel felt a sudden pang in his heart. He frowned deeply. He knew in his heart that Natalie must hate him and the Kensington family to the core, but he couldn't bring himself to explain.
"Natalie." Alyssa ran over from a distance, standing next to Gabriel. Her voice was gentle, matching her name. "It's all my fault. I know you hate me. I don't blame you for what happened last time, but you'd better not cause a scene here. It will make everyone very uncomfortable."
Natalie's cold gaze swept over Alyssa, and she curled her lips. "You blame me? Do you have the rightto blame me?"
Alyssa weakly glanced at Gabriel and found that he showed no sign of blaming Natalie. She paused, then pretended to be aggrieved and magnanimous.
"Natalie, you've divorced Gabriel. Are you really going to hold a grudge for the rest of your life over past events?" she asked.
Natalie gave her a frosty look. "Do you even deserve to be remembered for a lifetime?"
Alyssa looked mortified, and she bit her lower lip. "Gabriel and I both hope you can let go of the past and start anew. But right now, it's the Clark Group's anniversary celebration. If you cause trouble, it will be unmanageable. The most important thing for you now is to consider the bigger picture!"
Hearing this, Gabriel frowned slightly and gave Alyssa a complex, cold look.
For some reason, her words made him very uncomfortable.
Natalie sneered, looking coldly at these two hypocrites. They were each more detestable than the other, truly nauseating.
They wanted her to consider the bigger picture?
Would her leaving be considering the bigger picture?
"Why and for whom? You? If I leave, no one will know about your affair, right? Stop pretending to be innocent; it's disgusting. Your very existence is the biggest joke here," Natalie stated.
Natalie was very annoyed, but she didn't need to retort. After a few sarcastic remarks, she saw Kelly waving at her from a distance. She gave a casual glance at the people in front of her and walked away.
Alyssa, unwilling to be insulted, kept glancing at Gabriel's face, hoping he would stand up for her.
But when Gabriel heard the word "affair," his expression became noticeably complex and sullen, his eyes dark and brooding.
He stood there, watching Natalie's figure disappear from sight. Only then did Gabriel withdraw his gaze and turn to leave.
"Gabriel, why has Natalie become like this? She seems to really hate us being together. It looks like she was pretending very hard before," Alyssa cautiously spoke, watching Gabriel's reaction.
Just now, he had been indifferent to Natalie's unreasonable behavior?
He frowned slightly, his tone cold and heavy. "What are you trying to say?"
Alyssa was stunned, biting her lower lip, her eyes a bit red. "I mean, maybe Natalie is right. Us being together might cause misunderstandings. Maybe I should leave first."
She knew very well that Gabriel wouldn't let her leave first.
First, it would be impolite to the Clark family, and second, without a female companion, Gabriel would inevitably attract gossip.
She suggested this just to make Gabriel notice her presence. She just want to show how undestanding she was compared to the unreasonable Natalie.
Gabriel's eyes turned cold. He raised his hand to check the time, his tone indifferent and distant. "Fine, I'll have the driver send you back."
Without looking back, he turned and walked away, leaving Alyssa at the door, her face ashen.
"Alyssa, come on, my mom is looking for you everywhere." Angela waved at her.
Alyssa ran over as if seeing a savior. With Wendy and Angela around, Gabriel shouldn't actively send her away.
"What's wrong? What did you say to my brother? You don't look good," Angela asked.
"Nothing." Alyssa forced a smile, her face pale and gloomy. How could she admit that Gabriel had actually told her to leave?
She hadn't expected to shoot herself in the foot.
Gabriel, who used to cater to her every whim, had now refused her repeatedly.
She wanted to know the reason.
Ever since she returned from abroad, everything had changed.
