Chapter 168 You Are a Bitch
Natalie was actually looking forward to that moment; she wanted to see how Skylar would react.
Skylar scoffed, "Natalie, don't think I'm afraid of you. You and I both rely on our families to survive. What are you so proud of?"
She thought, 'We are the same kind of people, what makes you think you can always act so superior in front of me?'
The more Skylar spoke, the more excited she became, wanting to expose all of Natalie's flaws right to her face!
She crossed her arms, lifted her chin, and sneered, "Even if you married into the Kensington family, didn't they still kick you out? Now, you're using your family's influence to get close to Gabriel and catch his attention. Isn't that your goal? Natalie, you are just a bitch, aren't you?"
Skylar believed she had hit a nerve with Natalie, and now she wanted to see how Natalie would maintain her facade of superiority.
She waited for the moment when Natalie would be furious and humiliated.
But when Natalie heard this, there wasn't a trace of anger on her face.
Instead, she pulled out a mocking smile. She looked up at Skylar.
Natalie's voice was cold and emotionless. "Ms. Nelson, there's a basic fact you should know: they didn't get to kick me out because I left him. And I didn't degrade myself by spending money on plastic surgery to please him. In that regard, I can't compare to you."
After she finished speaking, she curled her lips, walked away in her high heels, and didn't spare Skylar another glance.
Skylar realized that Natalie was insulting her!
She stomped her foot in anger, trembling all over, her surgically altered face looking even more terrifying.
She thought, 'How dare Natalie throw shade things about me? What gave her the courage? And she did it on my turf!'
Skylar was so furious she couldn't think straight. She couldn't let Natalie get away with this; she couldn't let her off so easily!
She looked at Natalie's back and immediately chased after her. She had to teach her a lesson!
Natalie was waiting at the elevator.
The elevator arrived quickly.
At the same time, Skylar had caught up, grabbed Natalie's arm, and raised her hand in a fit of rage! "Natalie, go to hell!"
Before her hand could come down, someone in the elevator suddenly lifted a leg and kicked Skylar!
Skylar yelled out, "Ah—"
She screamed and fell to the ground, writhing in pain.
When she realized what had happened, she looked up in anger, her face drained of color!
She called out, "Gabriel."
She was shocked, unable to believe what she was seeing.
She thought in disbelief, 'So Gabriel kicked me for Natalie?'
Gabriel stood there with a cold expression, his eyes sweeping over the Skylar with disdain, showing no remorse.
Skylar couldn't pinpoint the source of his disdain, whether it stemmed from her or the manner in which she had just addressed him.
Skylar bit her lip in hurt. Before she could recover, a figure rushed up and slapped her hard across the face.
The slap was given with full force! "You idiot, how many times have I told you not to cause trouble? Do you want to get our whole family ruined?"
The person who hit her was her father, Roger.
Roger's face was twisted with anger as he turned abruptly.
He bowed to Natalie, apologizing humbly and cautiously.
He apologized, "Ms. Clark, are you alright? I'm sorry, Ms. Clark. I didn't teach her well and caused you distress. I'm truly sorry. I'll make sure to punish her properly when we get home."
Natalie let out a light laugh, her eyes sweeping over Skylar, who sat on the ground and looked disheveled. "Since you're here, bring Ms. Nelson to the shareholders' meeting."
She wanted to leave Skylar with no room to resist.
Roger paused, then immediately bowed in agreement. "Yes, Ms. Clark, please."
He respectfully went to press the elevator button, bowed to let Natalie in, and then Gabriel. After that, he waited obediently for the next one.
Skylar, lying on the ground, watched this scene, feeling as if all the strength had been drained from her body, leaving her weak and terrified.
She was scared!
Roger glared at Skylar with hatred, gritting his teeth. "You keep causing trouble and offending people. Why didn't you die on the operating table in Veridonia?"
