Chapter 269 I'm Short on Money
Natalie's eyes started to water. "They probably think I'm dead. My dad and brother must be devastated."
Felix was a bit surprised. He looked at her, seeing her sadness, and felt a wave of sympathy.
"We gotta keep hoping."
"What hope is there?"
Natalie looked up at him, her eyes sparkling like stars over the ocean.
Felix was momentarily stunned and then blurted out, "Hey, people have swum across oceans to get back home before."
Natalie rolled her eyes. "Can you just shut up?"
"Okay."
Natalie didn't know when she had dozed off, lying heavily on the leaves.
When Starshadow sensed there was no danger, it crawled out of Natalie's pocket and started exploring the cave.
Felix quickly grabbed Starshadow, examining it.
"Natalie even carries a pet with her?"
Starshadow's four legs flailed in the air.
"Let go of me! I'm a tiger, not a pet!"
Felix's eyes lit up.
"A talking fake tiger?"
Starshadow's whiskers twitched in anger, feeling its dignity as a tiger was being insulted!
"I'm a real tiger!"
Felix chuckled, swinging it by its tail like a mouse.
Starshadow yelled in anger, "Mommy, help me! Someone's trying to kill me!"
Felix quickly covered Starshadow's mouth, glancing nervously at the sleeping Natalie, and sighed in relief.
"Stop yelling."
He let go, and Starshadow jumped to the ground, standing proudly with a regal demeanor.
Unfortunately, it was so dirty that its previous clean and cute appearance was unrecognizable.
But it still looked up at him adorably.
"I know you. Felix, a well-known social media personality. Your documentary adventure series has won international awards for five consecutive years, and you have fans all over the world. You're also the grandson of Blair, the chairman of the Kensington Group, with a wealthy background."
Felix was initially just surprised, but when he heard the last sentence, his eyes narrowed slightly.
"You know quite a lot."
"Of course, my search database covers global knowledge. If it's ever been on the internet, I know about it," Starshadow said proudly.
Felix smiled, picking it up and placing it in his palm.
"You can't tell Natalie that Gabriel is my uncle, or else, who knows if those savages like tigers?"
Starshadow's round eyes darted around.
"You dare threaten me?"
Felix smiled. "Yes."
Starshadow's demeanor visibly weakened.
"Mommy hates the Kensington family the most. You're afraid that when someone comes to rescue her, they'll leave you behind."
Felix raised an eyebrow, surprised that a fake tiger could see through him.
It was impressive.
The night passed, and Natalie had a rare good sleep without worrying about being roasted by savages.
The sound of the sea washing over the rocks and the howling wind was loud, waking her up.
When she opened her eyes, only Starshadow was sitting beside her, looking at her adorably.
Natalie reached out, and Starshadow jumped into her palm, nuzzling her chin.
"Felix went to get seawater. Mommy, I love you."
Natalie smiled, stretching lazily.
"I love you too."
When Felix came in, he was ready to start distilling seawater into fresh water.
He could handle anything himself, but Natalie couldn't.
Natalie thought for a moment. She couldn't just sit and wait, so she started picking up reflective stones by the sea, arranging them into an SOS signal on the large rock wall.
Just in case a plane flew by and saw it.
Starshadow reluctantly used its small, cute tiger legs to help Natalie push the stones!
"Mr. Kensington."
"Just call me Felix."
Felix leisurely sipped a precious cup of fresh water, winked at her, and smiled warmly.
His friendly nature made Natalie feel comfortable.
Natalie was taken aback.
"Felix, do you have any wishes? When we get back, I'll help you fulfill them."
Felix paused, looking at her seriously and sincerely.
"I need money."
