Chapter 437 His Reputation
As soon as Robert finished speaking, everyone turned their shocked gazes toward him.
Even Natalie was taken aback that Pobert was coming too. She had only invited Mike last night.
Gabriel's expression darkened, his eyes complex and deep as he looked at Robert.
Gabriel, a seasoned veteran in the business world, couldn't believe Robert was so oblivious.
He couldn't help but overthink the situation.
Ulysses was momentarily stunned but quickly regained his usual smile.
"Well, the more, the merrier. Mr. Williams is understandably concerned about Mike going out. Mr. Kensington, shall we head out?"
Gabriel's lips curved slightly. "Sure."
Jagger stood there, stunned.
This trip was supposed to be a special plan for Natalie and Gabriel, with Ulysses making it a family trip.
But with Robert and Mike joining, what was this?
A company retreat?
Gabriel's gaze shifted to Natalie, his stern expression softening slightly, a gentle smile forming on his lips.
"Let's go. Let's take a few days to relax."
Their eyes met, and Natalie smiled. "Thank you for your thoughtful planning, Mr. Kensington."
They were all used to maintaining appearances.
No matter how harsh the words exchanged last night or how tense the relationships were, they could meet today as if nothing had happened.
Jagger pushed Gabriel's wheelchair from behind, and his brows furrowed tightly.
Things weren't going as he had planned.
The helicopter was parked on the nearby lawn.
Elijah helped Ulysses aboard, Robert strode up without a care, and Mike climbed up, glancing back to see if Natalie was following.
Natalie was the last to board, busy texting Aaron, when she saw Jagger struggling to help Gabriel up.
She frowned, quickened her pace, and went over to help, her hand landing on Gabriel's.
Gabriel was momentarily surprised, then looked at her with delighted eyes.
Natalie said nothing, and soon everyone was on board.
"Thank you," Gabriel said.
Natalie raised an eyebrow. "Mr. Kensington, in your condition, you still want to travel the world. Quite ambitious."
What was he really up to?
Running around with a bad leg?
Before Gabrial could respond, Jagger quickly explained, "Mr. Kensington hasn't slept well for several nights, planning Mr. Clark's birthday. Ordinary gifts wouldn't convey his feelings, and Mr. Clark, having seen so much, might not appreciate them. Mr. Clark has always wanted to travel the world but couldn't due to various reasons. Mr. Kensington cleared his schedule, canceling important meetings, just to make Mr. Clark happy. It's truly touching."
Natalie smirked, glancing at Jagger with a half-smile.
"How do you know so much about Mr. Kensington's sleep, Jagger?"
Jagger froze.
Gabriel's expression also darkened, his cold, silent gaze sweeping over Jagger.
What about his reputation?
Natalie turned and went inside to find Ulysses.
Though there was no wind, Jagger felt a chill run through him, shivering slightly.
The helicopter hit some turbulence, shaking suddenly.
Natalie, not wearing her seatbelt, was nearly thrown out of her seat.
Robert quickly grabbed her hand, steadying her.
She exhaled in relief. "Thank you, Mr. Williams."
Robert released her hand, nodding slightly. "You're welcome."
A few seconds later, he suddenly reached across her, touching her left side.
The proximity startled Natalie, and she pulled back, looking at him in surprise.
Robert pressed his lips together. "Seatbelt."
Straight to the point.
